PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superinten-
dent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS by section 10 of the "Otago Roads
Ordinance, 1871, Amendment Ordinance, 1874," it
is provided that if for any cause whatever the persons
entitled to vote at any election for any district or for any
sub-division of any district shall fail or neglect to hold
an election of members of the District Board of such
district on the day appointed by the "Otago Roads
Ordinance, 1871," it shall be lawful for the Superintendent,
by proclamation in the Gazette, to appoint a day for
the storage of such election.

Now, therefore, I James Macandrew, Superintendent
of the Province of Otago, under and by virtue of the
power and authority vested in me by the said section,
and of every other power and authority enabling me in
this behalf, do hereby proclaim and appoint Tuesday,
the twenty-second day of June, and the District Hall,
Mornington, as the time and place for the holding of
the election of members of the Mornington Road Board.

NOTICE

Of certain lands in the Province of Otago, having been
set apart as reserves for an endowment for Educational
Institutions.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the
Province of Otago.

WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have,
under and by virtue of section 16 of the "South-
land Waste Lands Act, 1865," recommended that the
lands hereinafter described should be reserved as an en-
dowment for Educational Institutions: and it is expe-
dient that the said lands be so reserved for that purpose:
Now therefore, I James Macandrew, Superintendent of
the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the
power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do here-
by publish and declare that I have made and dedicated
the lands hereinafter described as reserves for an endow-
ment for Educational Institutions, (that is to say)

All that piece or parcel of land containing 1000a., more
or less, being section 243 Hokonui District, bounded on
the north by section 116 and crown land 60 chains; on the
east by road reserve 100 links wide along the banks of
the Mataura River; on the south by section 249, 33
chains; and on the west by public road 153 chains, ex-
cepting out of the land herein described section 230,
Hokonui District, as surveyed.

Also, all that piece or parcel of land containing 1010a.,
more or less, being section 247, Hokonui District, bounded
on the north to the Waimea Stream; on the west by
sections 287 and 15, 106 chains; on the south by
Otamita Stream and section 248, 2793 links; and on
the east by the road reserve 100 links wide along the
banks of the Mataura River, excepting out of the land
herein described 30 acres for roads, as surveyed.
