yards, more or less, of 5-inch stone spalls for No. 8
Road, Pine Hill. Specifications for the above at Cattle
Market Hotel, North-East Valley.
TENDERS will be received for fencing the New Road
on section 18, block X. (Mr. Reid\'s section), with a
sheep proof fence, at per chain. Specification for fencing
at Mr. Thomas Brown\'s, North-East Valley.
Tenders for any of the above works to be left at Valley
School-house, on or before the 12th June, at 2 p.m.

OUTRAM ROAD BOARD.
To Contractors.
TENDERS are invited by the Outram Road Board for
constructing and placing a box in the Taieri River
bank, and widening and deepening a drain for a distance
of twenty chains.
Plans and specifications may be seen at Mr. Renton\'s
farm house, near Otakia Post Office, on and after the 24th
inst.
Tenders to be addressed to the Chairman of the Board
not later than noon of Saturday, the 29th inst.

TUTURAU ROAD BOARD.
FRESH TENDERS will be received by the Chairman of
the above Board until noon of Saturday, the 12th
June, 1875, for formation, culvert, and gravelling, near
Mr. Crombie\'s; also for sundry works on road which
passes Tuturau School-house, where specifications for
the whole of the work may be seen. The lowest or any
tender not necessarily accepted.

BYE-LAWS of the NORTH-EAST VALLEY
ROAD DISTRICT, duly made in pursuance
of the powers and provisions contained in "The
Otago Roads Ordinance, 1871," "The Otago Roads Ordi-
nance Amendment Ordinance, 1872," "The Otago Roads
Ordinance, 1871, Amendment Ordinance, 1874," "The
Highway Boards Empowering Act, 1871," and "The
Highway Boards Empowering Act, 1872," and passed at
a meeting of the North-East Valley Road Board held in
the North-East Valley Road District on the 8th day of
May, 1875, intituled "Bye-Laws to provide for the order
and good government of the North-East Valley Road
District: -

It shall not be lawful for any person to wheel, lead,
drive, or ride in any dray, cart, carriage or barrow, or to
ride on horseback upon, or to lead or drive any horses or
cattle across or along any footpath formed alongside of
any street line or district road, and any persons com-
mitting an offence against this Bye-law shall, on convic-
tion, forfeit a sum not exceeding five pounds. -
It shall not be lawful for any person to draw or
any sledge, timber, or other material upon or along
any formed street line or district road, and any person
committing an offence against this Bye-law shall, on con-
viction, forfeit a sum not exceeding five pounds. -
Every person who throws or lays any building or
manure, ash, or rubbish, or allows any nightsoil or
any offensive matter to be spilt or otherwise cast upon
any street line or district road, or allows any nightsoil or
house or premises any foul or sewage water on to any
street line or district road, shall, on conviction, forfeit a
sum not exceeding five pounds. -
Every person who throws or lays any building or
other materials, or constructs or erects any scaffolding or
fence upon any street line or district road save under
permission of the Road Board in writing first obtained
shall, on conviction, forfeit a sum not exceeding twenty
pounds. -
If any person shall place any house, building, or fence,
or any part thereof, upon any portion of any street line
or district road, he shall forfeit a sum not exceeding ten
pounds, and a further sum not exceeding five pounds for
every day while the same shall so continue. -
If any person shall obstruct any street line or dis-
trict road, whether by allowing any vehicle to remain on
such street line or district road, or by placing goods
thereon, or otherwise, shall, on conviction, forfeit a sum
not exceeding ten pounds. -
If any horses or cattle be found on any street line
or district road without any person having the charge
thereof, or if turned out for grazing purposes, although
in charge of any person, the owner of such horses or
cattle, shall, on conviction, be liable to a penalty not ex-
ceeding two shillings and sixpence per head, which sum
shall be collected by the pound keeper and paid over by
him to the Road Board. -
No drove cattle shall be driven on any street line or
district road without having an attendant going before
such drove cattle, and without being kept in a compact
body, and any person offending against this section shall,
on conviction, forfeit a sum not exceeding twenty pounds;
and in the interpretation of this Bye-law the term "drove
cattle" shall be taken to mean all cattle being driven in
or through the road district to or from market or slaugh-
ter-yard.
The common seal of the District Board and Rate-
payers of the North-East Valley Road Dis-
trict was hereunto affixed in the presence of

CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF INVER-
CARGILL.
PURSUANT to the Provisions of the "Municipal
Corporations Act, 1867," notice is hereby given that
the following regulations under the thirteenth Schedule
of the said Act were passed by the Council of the Town
of Invercargill on the eighteenth day of March instant,
and that the said regulations have been approved by His
Honor the Superintendent and are now deposited for the
inspection of any person interested therein, at the office of
the Council in Kelvin-street, Invercargill, and will con-
tinue to be so deposited for seven days after the publica-
tion hereof. Dated this fourteenth day of May, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.

No. 1.—A regulation made under the authority of Sec-
tion four, Subdivision one, Part one of the thirteenth
Schedule of the said Act, for regulating the height from
the ground, shape, figure, dimensions, and materials of
Porticoes or Verandahs.
No. 2.—A regulation made under the authority of Sec-
tion fourteen, Subdivision three, Part one, of the thir-
teenth Schedule of the said Act, for regulating the for-
mation, &c., of Drains to be laid under any footway or
channel.
No. 3.—A regulation made under the authority of Sec-
tion twenty-six, Subdivision four, Part one, of the thir-
teenth Schedule of the said Act, for regulating the forma-
tion, &c., of Crossings across or over footways or channels.
No. 4.—A regulation made under the authority of Sec-
tion forty-five, Subdivision nine, Part one, of the thir-
teenth Schedule of the said Act, for appointing the hours
during which it shall not be lawful to drive into or through
the town, or any part thereof, any cattle intended for sale,
slaughter, or shipment, or travelling from one part of
New Zealand, or of any other colony to any other place,
&c.
No. 5.—A regulation made under the authority of Sec-
tion forty-six, Subdivision nine, Part one, of the thir-
teenth Schedule of the said Act, for appointing the public
