BLUESKIN ROAD BOARD.
NOTICE.—A Meeting of Ratepayers entitled to vote
in the respective Subdivisions will be held, for the
purpose of nominating members for election, to fill up the
vacancies in each Subdivision, on the second Thursday in
June, 1875, at twelve o'clock noon.
Places of Polling as follows:—
Waitati Subdivision.—In the house of Mr. Pullar—
Mr. Alexander Martin, Returning Officer.
Deborah Bay Subdivision.—At the Rocks, in the house
of Mr. Lear—Mr. Close, Returning Officer.
Purakanu Subdivision.—In the Road Board Office—
Mr. M'Kessar, Returning Officer.

TENDERS WANTED by the Kaikorai Road Board
for formation of roads in the Abbotshill Subdivision.

Also, TENDERS for supplying 166 yards metal on
each end of the Kaikorai Road. Specifications to be seen
at Mr. James Cunningham's.
Tenders to be lodged with Mr. Charles Sounsa (chair-
man), either at his office, Dunedin, or his residence,
Green Island, on or before Tuesday, 25th May, at 6 p.m.
Five per cent. to be lodged with tenders.
The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

PENINSULA ROAD BOARD.
I, the undersigned, hereby give notice that a public
meeting of Rate-payers of the North-East Harbour Sub-
division of the Peninsula Road Board, will be held at the
North-East Harbour School-house, at noon, on Thursday,
3rd June next, for the purpose of nominating a mem-
ber for the above-named subdivision, in the room of Mr.
Alex. Stuart, who retires. All candidates must be pro-
posed and seconded by duly qualified electors.

of the Peninsula Road Board, will be held at the Toma-
hawk School-house, at noon, on Thursday, 5th June next,

named sub-division, in room of Mr. Smaill, who retires.
All candidates must be proposed and seconded by duly
qualified electors.

BYE-LAWS of Wardens of Jacob's River Hundred,
for the year 1875.
1st. That no cattle of any description be depastured on
the Jacob's River Hundred without a license.
2nd. That no person shall be allowed to depasture
more than one (1) sheep for every 200 acres of land in
his occupation.
3rd. No entire horse over twelve months old, and no
bull or bull stag over six months old, shall be allowed to
depasture without special permission of Wardens.
4th. That no person shall be allowed to depasture on
the Hundred more than one (1) head of cattle for every
12 acres of land in his occupation, and that all cattle
must be branded with the registered brand of the license
holder.
5th. All stray cattle or sheep may be impounded, and
the Wardens will not be responsible for any mistakes
which may arise through cattle not bearing brands ac-
cording to the Cattle Branding ordinance.
6th. All license holders shall, within fourteen days
after the publication of these bye-laws, give in a written
statement to the Chairman of Wardens, of the number of
cattle depastured by them on said Hundred and their
acreage and brands.
7th. Any person harassing or driving stock (not his
own property) a greater distance than is necessary to
separate his own from any other person's, shall be liable
to any penalty not exceeding five pounds (£5) sterling,
and such stock must be returned to the place from
whence they were taken.
8th. No cattle to be removed from the Hundred with-
out giving notice to the nearest Warden.
9th. The penalty for any breach of the foregoing bye-
laws shall be any sum not exceeding five pounds (£5)
sterling.

for which no damage is claimed, and in default of being
released, the above cattle will be sold at the public pound
at West Taieri on Friday, the 4th day of June, 1875, at
12 o'clock noon.

day of June, 1875, at twelve o'clock noon.
