OTAGO

PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT GAZETTE.

PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS, by Section 2 of the "Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance Amendment Ordinance, 1866," it is provided that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent of the Province of Otago, with the advice and consent of his Executive Council, by proclamation in the Government Gazette of the said Province, from time to time to alter in any way he may think fit the boundaries of any municipality at any time proclaimed under the ordinances recited in the said Ordinance.

Now, therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, under and by virtue of the power and authority vested in me by the said Ordinance, and of every other power and authority enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and appoint that the boundaries of the municipality of Roxburgh be altered, and that all that area of land described in the Schedule hereunto annexed be added to the municipality of Roxburgh.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land, in the Province of Otago in the Colony of New Zealand, containing by estimation five hundred (500) acres, more or less, situate in Teviot District, bounded by a line commencing at the north-eastern corner of area formerly known as section numbered 31, block II., and proceeding due south six thousand and thirty (6030) links; thence due south seven thousand five hundred and thirty (7530) links; thence due east to road line seven thousand and forty (7040) links; thence in a north-north-westerly direction along the aforesaid road line seven thousand six hundred and seventy (7670) links to the starting point.

Given under my hand, and issued under the public seal of the Province of Otago, at Dunedin, this fourth day of May, 1875.

PROCLAMATION.

Now, therefore I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, under and by virtue of the power and authority vested in me by the said Ordinance, and of every other power and authority enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and appoint that the boundaries of the Municipality of Riverton be altered and that all that area of land described in the schedule hereunto annexed be added to the Municipality of Riverton South Ward.

SCHEDULE.

All that piece or parcel of land comprising five hundred and twenty-four acres, two roods (524a. 2r.) more or less, being sections 48, 47, and 46, block I, and sections 28, 27, 26, 25, 24, 23, and 22, block II, Jacob's River Hundred, and bounded on the North-west by section 49, 5940 links; on the North-east by a public road 14,782 links, and on the South-west by the ocean 156 chains, or thereabouts.

Given under my hand and issued under the public seal of the Province of Otago, at Dunedin this fourth day of May, 1875.
