MEETING OF THE PROVINCIAL COUNCIL.

PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

IN pursuance of the power and authority vested in me in that behalf, I do hereby fix and proclaim that the Thirty-fourth session of the Provincial Council of the Province of Otago, shall be holden within the Provincial Council Hall, Dunedin, in the said Province, and shall commence upon Monday, the 3rd day of May, 1875, at noon; and the Members of the said Council are hereby warned to give their attendance at such time and place accordingly.

Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the said Province, this thirtieth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.

PROCLAMATION.

Oamaru Harbour Board—Appointment of Members

By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of Otago.

WHEREAS by Section 7 of the Oamaru Harbour Board Ordinance, 1874, it is provided that so often as any person, being a member of the Board, otherwise than as Mayor of Oamaru, shall die, resign, become incapable to act, or be removed or absent from the said Province of Otago for the space of six consecutive calendar months, it shall be the duty of the Superintendent to appoint, by proclamation in the Otago Provincial Government Gazette, another fit and proper person to be a Member of the Board, in the room or stead of the person so dying, resigning, becoming incapable, or being removed or absent, as aforesaid: And whereas James Ashcroft, of Oamaru, Esquire, has resigned his office of Member of the said Board: And whereas Alexander M'Master, of Oamaru, Esquire, a Member of the said Board has been absent from the Province of Otago for the space of six consecutive calendar months:

Now, therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do hereby, by virtue and in exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said section, and of every other power in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and appoint Thomas Meek, of Oamaru, Esquire, to be a member of the Oamaru Harbour Board, in the room and stead of James Ashcroft, of Oamaru, Esquire, who has resigned his office of Member of the said Board, and John Allan, of Oamaru, Esquire, to be a member of the said Board, in the room and stead of Alexander M'Master, Esquire, who has been absent from the Province of Otago for the space of six consecutive calendar months.

Given under my hand, and issued under the public seal of the Province of Otago, at Dunedin, in the said Province, this 30th day of March, 1875.

PROCLAMATION.

Main District Roads.—Hawksbury Road District.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of Otago.

WHEREAS by section 171 of the "Otago Roads Ordinance, 1871," it is provided that upon the application of the Board of any district, the Superintendent may from time to time, if it shall seem fit so to do, by Proclamation appoint that any roads or parts of roads—whether within or upon the boundary of such district—shall be main roads or main district roads: And whereas the Board of the Hawksbury Road District have applied to have the roads specified in the schedule hereto proclaimed and appointed main district roads:

Now therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do hereby, by virtue and in exercise of the power vested in me by the said section,
