PENINSULA ROAD BOARD.

IT IS HEREBY NOTIFIED that the Board has appointed—

Mr. E. Cook, Ranger for Anderson’s Bay Sub-division.
Mr. C. Miller, do for Tomahawk do.
Mr. Bayne, do for N. E. Harbour do.
Mr. J. Aersink do for Highcliff do.
Mr. W. O. Druce has been appointed Clerk and collector to the Board in place of Mr. Hay, resigned.

It is further notified that all Rates due to this Board must be paid to me, at the office of the Board, Highcliffe School, within fourteen days from this date, or legal proceedings will be taken to recover the same.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Tuturau Road Board intend to make a General Rate, for the year 1874, of one shilling per £ on all rateable property within the District, on Saturday 10th April, 1875.

The Rate-roll is open for inspection at Tuturau School House.

TUTURAU ROAD BOARD.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Tuturau Road Board to close that half-chain road, in Block IV, forming the northern boundary of sections 6 and part of 12, and thence, passing across sections 13 until the boundary line of section 16 is reached; and to open in lieu thereof a half-chain road starting from Mataura River and passing along the northern boundary line of sections 57 and 13 until the already established road is reached.

Also to close, in Block IV part of road forming the north-western boundary of Section 37; and to open in lieu thereof, an extension of existing road through Pro-emphyteutic right until an established district road is reached.

Also to close that line of half-chain road, in Block IV starting from a point 13 chains north of the southern boundary of sections 30 and 31, and dividing sections 31 and 53 from sections 30 and 70 until the northern boundary of section 70 is reached; and to open in lieu thereof a road one chain wide starting from an existing district road 13 chains north of the southern boundary of section 31, and thence, through sections 31 and 32 until the district road on the southern boundary of section 37 is reached. Also to close that road of a semicircular form situated in section 53. Also to close that line of road starting from Government Road through section 9 Block IV, and dividing sections 10, 11, and 47, from sections 29, 70, and 53 of said block.

All persons affected by the above alterations are in terms of the thirtieth section of the Highway Boards Empowering Act, 1871, hereby called upon to set forth in writing, addressed to the District Road Board, within forty days from date of this advertisement, all objections which they may have to said alterations; a plan and specifications of which, are deposited for inspection at Tuturau School House.

TENDERS will be received by the Seaside District Road Board until noon of Monday 5th April 1875, for

Contract No. 1.—Supplying, breaking, spreading, and boxing 300 yards 3 inch bluestone metal, on Main Road Walton.

Contract No. 2.—Construction of embankment, Culvert Formation &c., at Brighton.

Contract No. 3.—Construction of Embankment, Culvert and Cutting, at Blair’s Creek, Brighton.

Further information may be obtained from the Chairman Mr Thomas Howorth, Walton Park, and Mr. John Bruce who will point out the work in the Brighton Sub-division to intending contractors on the 1st April at 2 p.m. Plans and specifications may be seen by applying to the undersigned. All tenders must be lodged with the Chairman. The Board does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

TENDERS wanted by the Kaikorai Road Board. For work to be performed on Abbotsford Road, between Main South Road and Railway Station. Plans and specifications to be seen and tenders to be lodged at Hyndman’s Store on or before Monday, 22nd March at 6 p.m. Tenders to be accompanied with a deposit of 5 per cent. The Board does not bind themselves to accept the lowest or any tender.

Also Tenders for carting metal from Railway Station, along Abbotsford Road as far as Abbots Creek and Freeman’s pit, at per cubic yard.

Information can be obtained from C. Samson, Chairman.

Tenders to be lodged at Hyndman’s Store on or before Monday 22nd March at 6 p.m.

MPOUNDED, by Mounted Constable Rooney, Blueskin, on the 11th day of March, 1875 for wandering a large blue and white cow, red ears, the off one slit, and an indistinct brand on each rump. One strawberry heifer calf, progeny of the above cow, no visible brand.

Owner unknown; 10s. is claimed to defray expense incurred in driving; and in default of being released the above cattle will be sold at the public pound at Blueskin, on the 2nd day of April, 1875, at 12 o’clock noon.

BLUESKIN ROAD BOARD.

WANTED a Clerk and Collector to the above Board. Tenders stating terms, with testimonials and name of proposed security to be lodged with the Board by noon, Monday, 12th April.

Tenders are also invited for repairs on Purakanui Road. Mr Horne will show the work on Tuesday April 6th. Also for formation of about 20 chains of Road near Deborah Bay School House. The work with plans &c., to be shewn by Mr. Closs on Monday April 5th. Tenders to be sent in by noon, April 12th.

NOTICE is hereby given, that a sitting of the Supreme Court, for the despatch of Criminal and Civil business, will be held at the Supreme Court House at Dunedin, on Monday the 12th day of April next at the hour of ten o’clock in the forenoon, at which time and place all persons bound by recognizances to appear as prosecutors, plaintiffs, defendants, or witnesses, are required to give their attendance.
