TENDERS wanted by the Costorphine Subdivision of the Suburban Road Board for supplying 300 yards, more or less, of 2½-inch broken metal; also for several clay cuttings, formation, and cleaning out water tables.

Plans and specifications to be seen with P. M’Laren.

Board to be at Look-Out Point, opposite the Industrial School, on Monday, the 11th January, at 10 o’clock, a.m., to show the work. Tenders to be lodged with P. M’Laren, J. Dempster, or J. Wilson, on or before the 15th January, 1875.

The Board does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

TENDERS WANTED, by the Green Island Subdivision of the Suburban Road Board for making several Clay Cuttings. Plans and specifications to be seen with J. Kirkland.

FIRST-CLASS FLOUR.

TENDERS will be received at the Provincial Government Offices, Dunedin, until noon of Friday, the 15th day of January, 1875, from parties willing to supply the Lunatic Asylum during 1875, with first-class FLOUR for Baking purposes. Either party may terminate the contract by the end of June by giving one month’s previous notice. The Government will not be bound to accept any tender. For further particulars apply to Mr. Hume at the Asylum.

WE hereby give notice that we intend to construct a Water Race for the purpose of driving machinery — flour mill and chaff cutting — commencing at a point on Home Creek (the main source of the Ariel Race), about 200 yards above Michael John Malaghan’s paddock (part of Section 12, Block XX., Shotover District), and terminating on Section number 10, Block XX., Shotover District.

The length of such race is about three-quarters of a mile, or thereabouts, and its intended course is north and south, and will run through Crown lands and through private lands belonging to us, said Robert Markland, Alexander M’Gillivray, and William M’Gillivray.

The mean depth and breadth of such race is 2 feet by 18 inches, and it is capable of carrying two sluice heads of water.
