TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works, until noon of Tuesday 29th December, for:—

Contract No. 1012.—Formation and metalling 33 chains of road near Henderson’s—Glenomaru to Catlin’s River.

Plans and Specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Provincial Engineer, and at the Post Office, Port Molyneaux.

Tenders to be indorsed “Tender for Contract No. 1012.”

Contracts Nos. 1009 and 1010.—Excavating new channel for the Silverstream.

Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained at the Office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin, and at Post Office, Mosgiel.

Tenders to be endorsed “Tender for Contract No. 1009,” or “1010,” as the case may be.

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.


TENDERS will be received at the Government Offices, Dunedin, until noon of Tuesday, 15th Dec., 1874, for the following Services of Supplies for the Provincial Government of Otago, for the year 1875. The Forage, Potato, and Bread Contracts may be terminated at half year, by either party giving a month’s previous notice:—

Cleaning Cesspools
Cleaning Chimneys
Funerals
Mixed Firewood: must be cut at least six months. Tenderer to state the kinds of wood he will mix, and about what quantities of each he will supply.

English, Scotch, and Newcastle Coal, not to include supply for railways

Ironmongery
Kerosene
Neatsfoot and Colza Oil
Castor Oil
Plumber’s Material
Paints, Colours, and Glazing

Rations and Medical Comforts for Dunedin Gaol
Rations and Medical Comforts (exclusive of Bread) for Hospital, Lunatic Asylum, and, if required, Immigration Depot
Bread for Industrial School
Rations—Meat for Hospital, Lunatic Asylum
Milk for Hospital and Asylum
Meat for Industrial School
Forage
Potatoes
Stationery

The names of the Sureties must be lodged with the Tender, and it must be shown at the same time that the Sureties consent.

Schedules for tendering may be had from the Government Storekeeper after the 8th December.

Accounts to be rendered on the 25th of each month, and all items against a Department to be put into one account.

The Government will not be bound to accept any tender.
