Contract No. 999—Formation and gravelling of Main Road to Menzies Ferry Bridge through the township of Wyndham.

Plans and Specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the Office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin, and at the Police Camp, Mataura Bridge.

Tenders to be endorsed, “Tender for Contract No. 999.”

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Tuesday, 17th November, 1874, for—

Contract No. 1000.—Construction of portions of road Main road to Kuri Bush.

Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the Office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin, and at M’Lean’s Store, Brighton.

Tenders to be indorsed “Tender for Contract No. 1000.”

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Tuesday, 17th November, 1874, for—

Contract No. 1001.—Construction Stone and Timber Bridge at Spottis Creek near Blacks, on road Manuherikia to Dunstan.

Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the Office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin, and at Police Camp, Blacks.

NOTICE TO APPLICANTS FOR UNSURVEYED LAND, under “Otago Waste Land Act 1872.”

It is hereby notified to the Applicants who names appear in the subjoined Schedule, that they have been declared to be the purchasers of the Sections set opposite their names in the Schedule, and that the purchase money of these Sections must be paid to the Receiver of Land Revenue in Invercargill on or before Wednesday the 18th day of November, 1874, otherwise the applications will be deemed withdrawn, cancelled and void, and the deposit made at the time of lodging the application will be forfeited.

NOTICE is hereby Given, that Section 50, Block II., Wyndham District, containing 50 acres, will be offered for sale by public auction, at the Court House, Mataura Bridge, on Tuesday, the 22nd December, immediately after the Town sale there; and that Sections 1, 2, 3, and 4, Block III., Tablehill District, containing respectively 63a. 0r. 39p., 71a. 0r. 21p., 78a. 3r. 2p., and 42a. 1r. 9p., will be offered for sale by public auction, at the Survey Office, Lawrence, on Friday, the 4th day of December, at noon, at the upset price of £1 per acre.

PAPAKAIO RAILWAY RESERVE.

NOTICE is hereby Given, that Sections 3, 8, 22, 21, 23, 20, 24, 19, 25, 28, 26, 27, Block VIII; and Sections 17, 20, 95, 19, and 51, Block IV, Papakaio District, will be offered for sale on Thursday, the 26th day of November, 1874, at the rooms of Mr. Shrimski, Oamaru, at an upset price of £2 per acre. Terms: One-third of the purchase money on the fall of the hammer, and the balance in two equal payments in 12 and 24 months, bearing interest at the rate of 8 percent. per annum; or the whole amount may be paid in cash at once, at the option of the purchaser.

Sections 101, 102, 140, 155, 138, 139, 103, 104, 92, 93, 50, 94, 56, 52, 53, 55, and 57, Block IV, Papakaio District, will also be offered for sale at the same time and place, at an upset price of £2 per acre, with valuation for fencing added—possession to be given on the 1st April, 1875. Terms: Valuation on the fall of the hammer, and the balance in three equal payments, on the 1st April 1875, 1st April 1876, and 1st April 1877, bearing interest at 8 percent. per annum, or the whole amount may be paid in cash at once, at the option of the purchaser.
