SEASIDE DISTRICT ROAD BOARD.
IT is hereby notified that a General Rate of one shilling per £ on the full nett annual value of rateable property, was made on the 24th instant, for the year ending 30th June, 1875. Also a Special Rate of threepence per £.
Ratepayers objecting to the valuation in respect of any error, omission, or surcharge, are hereby required to attend a Special Meeting of the Board, to be held in the Schoolhouse, Brighton, on Saturday, 28th November at noon.

PENINSULA ROAD BOARD.
NOTICE. — It is hereby given that a Road Rate of One Shilling per £ (nett annual value) on all rateable property in the District was made by the Road Board on the 3rd inst.
A Statement of the said Rate is open for inspection, on every lawful day, at the Office of the Board, Highcliffe.
All objections (on whatever grounds) to the Rate must be forwarded to me before the 12th November, 1874, and all such objectors will be heard in support of their objections at a Special Meeting of the Board, to be held at the usual place, on Saturday, 14th November, at 12 Noon.

NOTICE—The owners of sections in the Townships of Ravensbourne, Rothesay, St. Leonards, Opoho and the district of North East Valley in general are hereby informed that the road rates are now payable and the Collector will attend at North East Valley school-house on Saturday the 7th November from 2 till 4 p.m. after which date rates remaining unpaid will be recovered in the usual way.

MAKAREWA ROAD DISTRICT.
ORDER.—The MAKAREWA ROAD BOARD have duly notified their intention to open up a new road along the Northern side of section 20, Block V, Winton Hundred, Lime Hill Reserve, and thence in a south-easterly direction till it reaches the present road, in lieu of the road line shown on the record map along the southern side of the said section 20, Block V, Winton Hundred. Also to open up a new road along the eastern side of section 18, Block XIV, Invercargill Hundred. Also to open up a new road along the eastern side of section 19 of the said Block and Hundred. The said two roads to be in lieu of the line dividing section 18 from part of section 19 and section 20 of the said Block and Hundred. No objections having been lodged to any of the proposed alterations, and the owners and occupiers of the ground over which the proposed roads are to run having signified their assent thereto, the said Board does hereby, and by virtue of the thirty-third section of the “Highway Boards Empowering Act 1871” and of the “Otago Roads Ordinance 1871,” direct that the proposed alterations of roads shall be executed according to plans and specifications, and that these new roads shall be in lieu of the lines which it is herein specified they are intended to supersede.
