PENINSULA ROAD BOARD.
NOTICE is hereby given that a Road Rate of One Shilling per £ (nett annual value) on all rateable property in the District was made by the Road Board on the 3rd inst.
A Statement of the said Rate is open for inspection, on every lawful day, at the Office of the Board, Highcliff.
All objections (on whatever grounds) to the Rate must be forwarded to me before the 12th November, 1874, and all such objectors will be heard in support of their objections at a Special Meeting of the Board, to be held at the usual place, on Saturday, 14th November, at 12 Noon.

NOTICE.
THE Seaside Road Board intend at their Meeting on the 24th October, 1874, to levy a General Rate, for the year ending 30th June, 1875, of One Shilling in the £ on the full nett annual value of property within the District. And further Notice is given that the said Road Board intend to levy a Special Rate of Threepence per £ on the full nett annual value of all rateable property within the Seaside Road District for the year ending June, 1875.
The Rate Roll may be seen at the house of the undersigned on and after the 24th October, 1874.

NOTICE.
THE North-East Valley Road Board have resolved to borrow the sum of Three Thousand (£3000) Pounds.
The Board will meet on Saturday, the 24th October, 1874, at 2 p.m., in the N.E. Valley School-house.

KURI BUSH ROAD BOARD.
TENDERS will be received by the undersigned until noon of Saturday, 7th November, 1874, for Contracts No. 4 and 5, Metaling 28 chains of the School House Gully Road, from Main South Road to Johnston’s Gate.
Specifications to be seen at the School House on and after Saturday, the 24th October.

Mr. Alexander Brown will show the works on Contract No. 9 on Friday, 6th November, at 12 o’clock.

To the District Land Officer at Naseby.
HEREBY give Notice, that I intend to construct a Water Race, for cutting chaff and for other farming purposes, commencing at a point in Kurow Creek, and terminating at about five (5) chains from the “Western Hotel,” The length of such Race is two (2) miles, and its intended course is in an easterly direction. The mean depth and breadth of such Race is three (3) feet wide and one foot six inches (1½ feet) deep, and it is capable of carrying three (3) sluice-heads of water, and will be completed in two months.
