other lands, the lands hereinafter described, to be a Gold Field under the provisions of the “Gold Fields Act 1866,” to be called “Otago Gold Field:” And whereas by the “Gold Fields Act Amendment Act 1867,” it is enacted that within any Province in which by any Act or Ordinance, it is provided that the Superintendent shall, in the administration of the Government thereof, act by and with the advice and consent of an Executive Council, it shall be lawful for the Governor in Council, under his hand, and under the public seal of the Colony, from time to time as occasion may require, to delegate to the Executive Government for the time being of such Province, subject or not to any restrictions or limitations as he may think fit, all or any of such powers vested in the Governor, or the Governor in Council, by the “Gold Fields Act 1866,” as under or by virtue of the one hundred and ninth section of the said Act may be delegated by the Governor in Council, and in like manner to revoke any such delegation: And Whereas by an Ordinance of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Otago, intituled the “Executive Council Ordinance 1861,” it is provided that the Superintendent of the said Province shall, in the administration of the Government thereof, act by and with the advice and consent of an Executive Council: And whereas the Governor hath, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of New Zealand, and in pursuance of the power and authority for that purpose vested in him by the “Gold Fields Act 1866,” and subject to its provisions delegated unto the Executive Government for the time being of the Province of Otago all such powers vested in the Governor, or the Governor in Council by the said last-mentioned Act, as under or by virtue of the 109th section of the said last-mentioned Act may be delegated by the Governor in Council, to have, hold, and exercise the said powers within the said Province of Otago. And whereas the said lands hereinafter described are Crown Lands, subject to be dealt with under the provisions of the said 33rd section of the “Goldfields Act 1866,” and it is deemed expedient to set the same apart for the purpose of granting agricultural leases thereon and therefor:
Now, Therefore, I, James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Province, and by virtue and in exercise of the powers delegated to the Executive Government of the said Province in this behalf by His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand in Council under the authority of the “Gold Fields Act Amendment Act 1867,” and of any and every other power in any wise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands hereinafter described have been and are hereby selected and set apart by the Executive Government of the Province of Otago for the purpose of granting agricultural leases thereon and therefor (that is to say): Sections 1, 2, 4, 11, 12, 16, 17, Block I; sections 28, 29, 30, 31, 45, 46, 47, 48, Block II; sections 5, 6, 15, Block IV; sections 3, 4, 10, 13, 16, 17, 20, 21, 25, 30, 31, 32, 33, 38, 39, Block V; sections 3, 6, 7, 15, 16, 22, 23, Block VII; Tuapeka West District, and that such lands will be open for application on and after Tuesday the 3rd day of November, 1874.
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Otago, in presence of Donald Reid and George Turnbull, Esquires, two of the Members of the Executive Council of the said Province, being also Members of the Provincial Council thereof, this twentieth day of October one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.

PROCLAMATION
Setting apart Lands on Run 346 for occupation on deferred payments.
By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS by the forty-seventh section of the Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, entitled “The Otago Waste Lands Act 1872,” it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent of the Province of Otago, with the advice and consent of the Provincial Council thereof, from time to time by Proclamation, to be published in the Provincial Gazette, to set apart in any Province, districts or blocks of land, within which licenses to occupy land and leases thereof on deferred payments may be granted. And whereas the Provincial Council of the Province of Otago has recommended the Superintendent of the said Province to set apart the lands hereinafter mentioned for alienation on deferred payments:
Now, therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by and with the advice and consent of the Provincial Council, as aforesaid, do hereby, by virtue and in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by “The Otago Waste Lands Act 1872,” and of every or any other power enabling me in this behalf, proclaim, declare and set apart all the lands hereinafter mentioned, containing by estimation 875 acres, more or less, situate on Run 346, in the said province of Otago, being sections numbered respectively 1, 2, 5, 6, 9, 10, 15, 16, 23, 24, 27, 28, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 38, 39, block one (1), Earnslaw district, on the maps of the said district as districts or blocks within which licenses to occupy lands, and leases thereof on deferred payments, may be granted on and after the 10th day of November, 1874.

NOTICE
WHEREAS it is intended to stop up these Roads and portions of Roads which are severally described in the Schedule hereunder written, and are delineated on the maps or plans mentioned and referred to in the “Roads Diversion Ordinance, 1874,” Session XXXIII., copies of which maps or plans, so far as they relate to the particular roads or portions of roads intended to be stopped up in the Road District specified in the Schedule, have been deposited at the public office mentioned immediately after the description of the respective roads or portions of roads intended to be stopped up in each district: Now, therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in me in that behalf by the “Roads Diversion Ordinance, 1874,” Session No. XXXIII., do hereby give notice that all persons objecting to the stopping up of such roads or portions of roads, or any of them, are required to set forth a statement in writing of any well-grounded objections they may have to the stopping up of such roads, or portions of roads, and to leave such statement addressed to me at my office, in Dunedin, within sixty days from the first publication hereof, otherwise such objections will not be considered by me.
