PROCLAMATION
Delegation of Powers.
By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled the “Harbour Boards Act, 1870,” it is among other things enacted that the Superintendent and Provincial Council of any Province may from time to time make laws for constituting Harbour Boards, providing for the appointment or election of such Boards, and for vesting certain reserves in such Boards, and other purposes: And whereas by the Ordinance of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Otago passed, in the thirty-third session of the said Council, intituled “The Otago Harbour Ordinance, 1874,” it is provided that a Harbour Board shall be constituted for the Harbour of Otago, and that the limits of the said Harbour shall be those which have been, or may yet be, defined under or in pursuance of “The Marine Act, 1867,” or any amendment thereof: And whereas a Harbour Board has been constituted, in pursuance of and in accordance with the provisions of said before recited Ordinance of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of Otago: And whereas amongst other provisions of the before recited Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled “The Harbours Act, 1870,” it is enacted that Superintendents may delegate to Harbour Boards constituted under said Act, all the powers and authorities vested in him by the Marine Act, 1867: Now, therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by and with the consent of the Executive Council of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by the said Harbour Boards Act, 1870, do hereby delegate to the Otago Harbour Board all the powers vested in me and exercisable by me under “The Marine Act, 1867,” or any amendment thereof: Provided always that copies of all rules, regulations, or by-laws made under the said delegation shall be transmitted to me for approval, as provided for by the aforesaid Harbour Boards Act, 1870.

PROCLAMATION
Extending Time within which certain Lands in certain Hundreds in the Province of Otago shall be open for Sale.
By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS the Lands hereinafter mentioned and described, being the lands within the Hundreds hereinafter named, have, by proclamation by his Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, first published on the 3rd day of September, 1874, in the New Zealand Gazette, been proclaimed as Hundreds: And whereas by operation of law the lands within the said Hundreds are not open for sale or lease until thirty days from and after the first publication of the proclamation constituting the Hundreds: And whereas, by the 2nd Section of “The Otago Waste Lands Administration Act, 1874,” it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent, from time to time, by proclamation in the Provincial Government Gazette, to fix a date after the said period of thirty days as the date on and after which the lands comprised in such Hundred shall be open for sale or lease, and that in such case such lands should not be open for sale or lease until the date mentioned in such last-mentioned proclamation: And whereas it is not expedient that the said land comprised in the said Hundreds should be open for sale or lease until the dates hereinafter mentioned: Now, therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by virtue of the powers invested in me by “The Otago Waste Lands Administration Act, 1874,” and of every other power and authority vested in me enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands comprised in the Hundreds hereinafter named shall be open for sale or lease on the dates hereinafter mentioned, that is to say: I proclaim and declare that all the lands comprised in the following Hundreds, namely, in the Lees Stream Hundred, in the Tuapeka Hundred, and in the Dart Hundred, shall be open for sale or lease on the tenth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four. And I further proclaim and declare that the Hundreds hereinbefore named are described in the proclamations of His Excellency Sir James Fergusson, Baronet, Governor of New Zealand, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of date the third day of September, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.
Given under my hand, and issued under the public seal of the Province of Otago, this thirteenth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.

PROCLAMATION
Cancellation of Lease to Depasture Stock on certain Crown Lands in the Province of Otago.
By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago in Council.
WHEREAS by the 16th section of the “Gold Fields Act 1866,” it is enacted that when any Gold Mine or Gold Field shall be discovered and proclaimed upon any Crown Lands, which at the date of the passing of the said Act shall have been held under license or lease for depasturing purposes, it should be lawful for the Governor, at his discretion, to cancel the lease or license under which such land shall have been held in occupation, as regards the whole or any part of the lands so held under such license or lease, or with the con-
