NOTICE.—Whereas it is intended to stop up these Roads and portions of Roads which are severally described in the Schedule hereunder written, and are delineated on the maps or plans mentioned and referred to in the “Roads Diversion Ordinance (No. 2), 1874,” Session No. XXXIII., copies of which maps or plans, so far as they relate to the particular roads or portions of roads intended to be stopped up in the Road District specified in the Schedule, have been deposited at the public school mentioned immediately after the description of the respective roads or portions of roads intended to be stopped up in each district: Now, therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in me in that behalf by the “Roads Diversion Ordinance (No. 2), 1874,” Session No. XXXIII., do hereby give notice that all persons objecting to the stopping up of such roads or portions of roads, or any of them, are required to set forth a statement in writing of any well-grounded objections they may have to the stopping up of such roads or portions of roads, and to leave such statement, addressed to me, at my office in Dunedin, within sixty days from the first publication hereof, otherwise such objections will not be considered by me.

NOTICE.

In the matter of the “Highway Boards Empowering Act, 1871,” and of an Order made by the North East Valley Road Board for diverting a Road.

UNDER and by virtue of the provisions of section thirty-three of the “Highway Boards Empowering Act, 1871,” I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do hereby appoint and fix Friday, the 23rd day of October, proximo, at the hour of 12 noon, at the Superintendent’s office, in the Provincial Government Buildings at Dunedin, as and to be the time and place for taking into consideration an Order made by the North-East Valley Road Board, on the 19th day of August, 1874, and published in the Otago Provincial Government Gazette, No. 913, on the 26th day of August, 1874, for diverting a Road through section 43, block IX., North Harbor and Blueskin Survey District.

NOTICE.

Of certain Land in the township of Invercargill, Province of Otago, having been reserved as Recreation Ground for the use of the inhabitants of Invercargill.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have under and by virtue of Section 16 of the “Southland Waste Land Act 1865,” recommended that the lands hereinafter described should be reserved for a Recreation Ground for the use of the inhabitants of Invercargill; and it is expedient that the said lands should be reserved for that purpose: Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do hereby publish and declare that I have made and dedicated the lands hereinafter described as a reserve for recreation for the inhabitants of Invercargill, (that is to say)—

All that area in the Province of Otago, in the colony of New Zealand, containing by admeasurement 43a. 2r. 0p. more or less, bounded on the north by a public road one thousand two hundred and twenty-one (1221) links or thereabouts; towards the east by the Oreti railway reserve two thousand four hundred and ninety-four (2494) links; towards the south by the railway station
