Notice is hereby given, that all applications for land not finally disposed of before Wednesday, the 14th day of October, 1874, otherwise the applications will be deemed withdrawn, cancelled and void, and the deposit made at the time of lodging the application will be forfeited.

NOTICE is hereby Given, that sections 4 and 5, block 2, South Molyneux District, containing respectively 53a. and 52a. 0r. 22p., will be offered for sale by public auction, as land of special value, at Barr's Hall, Balclutha, on Tuesday, the 3rd day of December next, at noon, at the upset price of £2 2s. per acre.

NOTICE is hereby Given, that sections 2 and 3, block 1, Cromwell District, containing respectively 3a. 1r. 24p. and 4a. 1r. 4p., will be offered by sale by public auction at the Court House, Cromwell, on Tuesday, the 1st day of December next, at noon, at the upset price of 21s. per acre, subject to valuation for improvements, and survey fees, to be paid to the occupants.

NOTICE is hereby Given, that sections 1, 2, 3, and 4, block 3, Table Hill District, (temporarily reserved from sale) will be open for application on and after Friday, the 30th day of October next, at the upset price of £1 per acre.

APPLICATIONS FOR CROWN LANDS

DEFERRED PAYMENTS

It is notified for public information that applications may now be made at any Land Office, for Land situated in any Land District, under the deferred payment clauses of the Act.

The Land now remaining open for Sale on deferred payments is situated as follows:

  • At Hyde, 1,137 acres
  • At Ida Valley, 1,232 acres
  • At Waipahi, 1,612 acres
  • At Teviot, 1,526 acres
  • At Macraes, 2,400 acres
  • At Toetoes, 761 acres
  • At Lake Wakatipu, 663 acres
  • At Glenkenich, 44 acres
  • At Lake Hawea, 1,500 acres
  • At M'Nab's, 276 acres
  • At Tuapeka, 4,493 acres; but of this last area, 2,400 acres are withheld from application, pending the definition of the Railway.

Copies of the pamphlet giving the substance of the conditions may be obtained at any Land Office.

The special attention of agriculturists is called to the leasing of these Educational Reserves in Southland, most of which are first class agricultural land, several of them adjoining the lines of railway now under construction.

RUNS, THURSDAY, 1ST OCTOBER, 1874

NOTICE is hereby Given, that the Lease for 10 years of the undermentioned Runs will be offered for sale by public auction, at the Survey Office, Queenstown, on the 1st day of October next, at noon, in terms of the Otago Waste Land Act, 1872, at the upset price of halfpenny per acre. Rental to be an assessment of 3s. 6d. for every head of great cattle, or 7d. for every head of small cattle to be depastured on the runs; but the minimum stock on which assessment will be charged shall not be less than the number set opposite each. Lease to commence on the 1st day of October, 1874. The annual rent and a deposit of one-tenth of the purchase money shall be payable at the fall of the hammer, the balance of purchase money within a month.
