The salary due to any teacher who may have resigned and left his appointment in any school will not be paid to him unless he produce to the Secretary of the Board a certificate from the Chairman or Clerk of the Committee of such school, to the effect that the said teacher has, up to the date of his leaving, properly made all the entries in his School Register, and account of School Fees, which are requisite for the correct filling up of the Annual Returns of the school, and that such registers and account have been handed over to the said Chairman or Clerk.

The Clerks of School Committees are hereby enjoined to intimate to the Secretary of the Board without any delay the date on which any teacher may cease to perform his school duty, and also the date on which any teacher hereafter appointed may enter on the performance of duty; otherwise there may be a difficulty in obtaining payment of salary.
