NOTICE.
Whereas it is intended to stop up the portion of the public street, which is described in the Schedule hereunder written, and is delineated on the map or plan mentioned and referred to in the “Castle-street Diversion Ordinance, 1874,” Session XXIII., a copy of which map or plan, so far as it relates to the particular public street or portion of the public street intended to be stopped up in the City of Dunedin, as specified in the Schedule, has been deposited at the public school mentioned immediately after the description of the public street or portion of the public street intended to be stopped up in the said City of Dunedin: Now, therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in me in that behalf by the “Castle-street Diversion Ordinance, 1874,” Session XXIII., do hereby give notice that all persons objecting to the stopping up of such public street or portion of the public street are required to set forth a statement in writing of any well-grounded objections they may have to the stopping up of such public street or portion of the public street, and to leave such statement, addressed to me, at my office in Dunedin, within sixty days from the first publication hereof, otherwise such objections will not be considered by me.
SCHEDULE.
All that area in the Province of Otago, in the Colony of New Zealand, containing by admeasurement two (2) roods and one (1) pole, more or less, situate in the City of Dunedin, being parts of Castle-street and the Water of Leith on the map of the said City: bounded towards the north-west by sections numbered respectively 53 and 54a, block XXIX., two hundred and thirty-five (235) links; towards the east-south-east by other parts of Castle-street and the Water of Leith six hundred (600) links; towards the west-south-west by sections numbered respectively 54a and 56, block XXIX., two hundred and thirty-five (235) links; and towards west-north-west by section numbered 55, block XXIX., two hundred (200) links.

NOTICE.
In the matter of the “Highway Boards Empowering Act, 1871,” and of an Order made by the North-East Valley Road Board for diverting a Road.
UNDER and by virtue of the provisions of section thirty-three of the “Highway Boards Empowering Act, 1871,” I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do hereby appoint and fix Friday, the 23rd day of October, proximo, at the hour of 12 noon, at the Superintendent’s office, in the Provincial Government Buildings at Dunedin, as and to be the time and place for taking into consideration an Order made by the North-East Valley Road Board, on the 19th day of August, 1874, and published in the Otago Provincial Government Gazette, No. 913, on the 26th day of August, 1874, for diverting a Road through section 43.
BRIDGE OVER CLUTHA, AT ROXBURGH.
TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works, until noon of Tuesday, 6th October, 1874, for:
Contract No. 964, Construction of Timber Bridge over the River Clutha, at Roxburgh.
Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the Office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin, and at the Police Camp, Roxburgh.
Tenders to be endorsed “Tender for Contract No. 964.”
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.
