TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works, until noon of Tuesday, 1st September, 1874, for Contract No. 953—Construction of Stone and Timber Bridge over the Oreti River, at Daniel’s Crossing, Southland.

Plans and Specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin, and at the District Engineer’s office, Invercargill.

Tenders to be indorsed, Tender for Contract No. 953.
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

COMPETITIVE DESIGNS are invited for a Building to be used for the Otago Provincial Museum.

The conditions under which Designs will be received can be seen on application at the Office of the Secretary for Works.

Designs will be received at the Office of Lands and Works till noon of Tuesday, 8th September, 1874.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the land adjoining the Training Wall, being sections 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, block LXVII., and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, block XLVIII., Dunedin, containing 21 poles each, will be offered for sale by public auction by Mr. James Milner, at the Provincial Council Hall, Dunedin, on Wednesday, the 19th August, 1874.

Terms, 25 per cent. cash, and 25 per cent. at 6, 12, and 24 months, bearing interest at 6 per cent. per annum. Conditions to be seen at this office on and after the 13th instant.

NOTICE is hereby given, that section 1, block 3, Tuapeka West District, containing 57a. 2r. 20p., will be offered for sale by auction, at the Survey Office, Lawrence, on Monday, the 7th day of September next, at noon, at the upset price of £1, and subject to the repayment of valuations for improvements to the occupant. Immediately after, section 25, block B9, Lawrence Township, hitherto temporarily reserved for educational purposes, will be offered for sale at the upset price of £3.
