NOTICE
In the matter of the "Highway Boards Empowering Act, 1871," and of an Order made by the Lindhurst Road Board for diverting a Road.
UNDER and by virtue of the provisions of section thirty-three of the "Highway Boards Empowering Act, 1871," I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do hereby appoint and fix Friday, the 24th day of July, instant, at the hour of 11 o'clock in the forenoon, at the Superintendent's office, in the Provincial Government Buildings, at Dunedin, as and to be the time and place for taking into consideration an Order made by the Lindhurst Road Board on the 24th day of March, 1874, and published in the Otago Provincial Government Gazette, No. 909, on the 20th day of May, 1874, for diverting a Road through sections 4 and 46, the property of the New Zealand and Australian Land Company; and section 3, the property of Mr. Hugh Cameron, in the Waimumu subdivision of the Lindhurst Road District.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION
In conformity to the 29th section of the "Gold Fields Act 1866," and to the Regulations made under that Act and the Gold Fields Acts Amendment Acts of 1867, 1868, and 1869, for the granting of leases for gold mining purposes within the Province of Otago, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease for gold mining purposes of Crown Lands to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against granting such lease.
Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing and lodged with the Warden at Lawrence, on or before the 21st day of July, 1874.
Copy of the application made, and plans annexed, may be seen at the Warden's Office at Lawrence.
Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this sixth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.

SCHEDULE
Samuel White, on behalf of White and Company, for one acre of land, more or less, as the same may be found after survey, to be within the pegs and trenches of the applicants, situated at Blue Spur, bounded on the north by Livingston and Co.'s lease, on south and east by White and Co.'s lease claim.

OTAGO HARBOR BOARD
NOTICE is hereby given that the following members have been elected as members of the Otago Harbor Board:
- By the City of Dunedin – Keith Ramsay, Esq., Charles Stephen Rees, Esq.
- By the Town Council of Port Chalmers – Hugh McDermid Esq., Andrew Thomson, Esq.
- By the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce – Henry Tewsley, Esq., Hugh M'Neil, Esq.
- And that the two members nominated by the Provincial Council – viz., John Davie, Esq., and Donald Reid, Esq. – have been appointed members of the said Board by His Honor the Superintendent of Otago, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council.

AMENDED NOTICE
WHALING BONUS, £500.
Open until the first day of Nov. 1874.
The Provincial Government will pay £250 by way of bonus for the first vessel which leaves the Province fully equipped for a whaling cruise, provided such vessel shall leave on or before the 1st day of November 1874; also £250 on her returning to the Province with a cargo of oil, provided that such vessel is owned in, and hails from a port within the Province. Vessel not to be under 150 tons. Provided also that she carries at least five boys as apprentices. Bonus will be paid on production of certificate from the Harbor Master that these provisions have been complied with.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the land adjoining the Training Wall, being sections 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, block LXVII, and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, block XLVIII, Dunedin, containing 21 poles each, will be offered for sale by public auction by Mr. James Milner, at the Provincial Council Hall, Dunedin, on Wednesday, the 19th August, 1874.
Terms, 25 per cent. cash, and 25 per cent. at 6, 12, and 24 months, bearing interest at 6 per cent. per annum.
Conditions to be seen at this office on and after the 13th instant.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the mining lease issued in favor of Grayson, Harper, and Peterson, for section 7, block I, Mount Buster District, has been cancelled, and the ground is open for occupation by holders of miners' rights.

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Lands until noon of Monday, 27th July 1874, for Survey Contract No. 84 – Survey of 17 acres, at Eden-dale, Mataura, into quarter-acre town sections; and about 500 acres at Mataura Bridge, west side, into town and suburban sections.
Plans and specifications may be seen at the Survey offices, Dunedin and Invercargill.
Tenders must be accompanied by ten per cent. deposit.
The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.
