SEASIDE ROAD DISTRICT.

NOTICE is Hereby Given that the Annual Meeting of Ratepayers entitled to vote in the election of Road Trustees for the ensuing year, will be held within the Schoolhouse, Brighton, on Thursday, 11th June next, at noon, for the Brighton sub-division, and within the schoolhouse, Saddle Hill at noon, for the Walton sub-division. In the event of a poll being demanded it will be held in the above-mentioned places on Monday 15th June, as per clause 102, Otago Road Ordinance, 1871.

NORTH TAIERI ROAD BOARD.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the above Board intend to form a road line on part sections 44, 45, and 46, irregular block, 5.6, and 12, block XIII, and 1, Block V, Taieri District, said road to be 100 links wide, and under the authority and powers vested in the Board, as per “Highway Boards Empowering Act.” together with the “Lands Consolidation Act.” The plan of the above road can be seen by any person interested for 40 days from this date at the School House, Mosgiel between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., and any persons affected by the above are required to state their objections in writing, and forward to the Board within 40 days from this date; and the Board will meet to hear and decide upon objections (if any) on Monday the 6th day of July, 1874, at 7 p.m.

NORTH TAIERI ROAD DISTRICT.

NOTICE. A meeting of ratepayers entitled to vote at the ensuing election will be held to nominate candidates for election to represent the North Plain Sub-division and Wingatui Subdivision, as per clauses 26 and 27, Otago Roads Ordinance, 1871, North Plain Subdivision, at the school-house, on Thursday, 11th June, at 12 noon. In the event of a poll being demanded, it will be held in the above place on Friday, 19th June, from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m.; Charles Waters, Returning Officer. Wingatui Subdivision, in the Drill-shed, Mosgiel, on Thursday, 11th June, at 12 noon. In the event of a poll being demanded, it will be held in the same place, on Saturday, 20th June, from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m.; William Couper, Returning Officer.

NOTICE is hereby given, that Meetings will be held on the 11th June, 1874, at noon, for the purpose of Nominating Candidates to fill the vacancies in the several Sub-divisions of the Board.

  • For Waiwera Sub-division, at Waiwera Hotel.

Section 65, Sub-section 1—10th Schedule.

Switzers, May 5, 1874.

To the District Land Officer, Switzers.—I hereby give notice, that I intend to construct a Water Race for driving a Saw-mill and other purposes; commencing at a point called Collie’s Creek, and terminating at M’Lean’s Terrace, including all side streams on the line of such race.

The length of such race is half a mile, or thereabouts, and the intended course is nearly east and west. The mean depth and breadth of such race is 3 feet by 1 ft. 8 inches, and it is capable of carrying five sluice-heads of water.

PUBLIC NOTICE.

Under Section I. of Regulation IV.

Whereas application has been made to me by Matthew Young, John Fitzgerald, and James Stewart, to declare that the portion of the Otago Gold Field described in the Schedule hereto, may be occupied by Holders of Miners’ Rights, in claims of the undermentioned size:—

One (1) Acre for each holder of a Miner’s Right provided that no Block Claim shall comprise more than six (6) acres altogether.

Now, therefore, I give Notice that such application, and any objection thereto, will be heard before me, at the Court House, Naseby, on Monday the 15th of June 1874, at 11 a.m.

SCHEDULE.

All that portion of the Otago Gold Field situated in Enterprise Gully, comprising three acres more or less, bounded on the west side of Enterprise Gully for ten chains; on the north by old workings for about four chains; on the east by the east side of Enterprise and Wet Gullies, for about ten chains; on the south, by the junction of Enterprise and Wet Gullies, for about two chains.

Given under my hand at Naseby this 27th day of May 1874.

Now, therefore, I hereby give notice that the same may be occupied by holders of Miners’ Rights in claims of the undermentioned size:—
