UNIVERSITY OF OTAGO.
THE SESSION for 1874 will be opened on MON-
DAY, 4th of MAY, with an Introductory Address
by Captain Hutton, Lecturer on Geology and Zoology,
at 7.30 p.m.
The Matriculation Examination will be held on the
1st and 2nd of May, commencing at 10 a.m.
On Tuesday, the 5th, the different Classes will be
opened as follows:—

DUNEDIN DISTRICT SCHOOLS.
THE Dunedin School Committee invite applications,
accompanied with testimonials, until Friday, 24th
instant, from persons willing to fill the situation of Head
Master and Mistress of the Forth School, now in course
of erection in Albany-street. The successful applicants
will be expected to carry on the duties of the school tem-
porarily in the Oddfellows’ Hall, George-street.

Sec. School Committee.
WANTED, a Schoolmaster for the Wallacetown
School; salary, Government subsidy, and School
fees, with 2 3/4 acres of land, and free house containing
five rooms. Applications with testimonials to be sent in
to the Rev. A. Stevens, Chairman of School Committee,
on or before the 20th May. One qualified to teach the
classics and Higher Branches preferred. Must be able
to enter upon his duties by the 29th June.

WANTED, a Female Teacher for the Albert Town
School (near Lake Wānaka). Salary—£100 per
annum, guaranteed, and free residence.

22nd April, 1874.

NOTICE is hereby Given, that the Voters’ List for
the Peninsula Road District for the year ending
June, 1874, can be inspected during the month of April,
at Highcliffe School-house. Any ratepayer whose name
may have been omitted, and who desires to have it in-
serted on the Voters’ List, is requested to make applica-
tion in writing.

SEASIDE ROAD DISTRICT.
It is hereby notified that a Special Rate of 1s. per £
was made on the 11th April, 1874, and that a Spe-
cial Meeting of the Board will be held in the house of
Mr. Graham, Boat Harbour, on Wednesday, the 13th
May next, at 2 o’clock, p.m., when appeals against the
said rate for the current year will be heard. The Rate
Roll may be seen at the house of Mr. Graham.
