MEETING OF THE PROVINCIAL COUNCIL.
PROCLAMATION.
By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
In pursuance of the power and authority vested in me in that behalf, I do hereby fix and proclaim that the Thirty-third Session of the Provincial Council of the Province of Otago, shall be holden within the Provincial Council Hall, Dunedin, in the said Province, and shall commence upon Wednesday, the 29th day of April, 1874, at noon; and the Members of the said Council are hereby warned to give their attendance at such time and place accordingly.
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the said Province, this eleventh day of March, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.

NOTICE.
"PROVINCIAL COMPULSORY LANDS TAKING ACT, 1866."
NOTICE is hereby Given, that it is intended to introduce a Bill into the Provincial Council of the Province of Otago at its next session, authorising the Superintendent of the Province of Otago to take compulsorily, for the purpose of making a Road in the District of Waitahuna West, parts of sections numbered respectively one (1), two (2), three (3), and four (4), block six (VI.), Waitahuna West District; and Notice is hereby further Given, that a copy of the Bill so intended to be introduced as aforesaid, may be inspected at the office of the Clerk of the Provincial Council, on and after the twentieth day of April next.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
In conformity to the 29th section of the "Gold Fields Act, 1866," and to the Regulations made under that Act, and the Gold Fields Acts Amendment Acts of 1867, 1868, and 1869, for the granting of leases for gold mining purposes within the Province of Otago, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease for gold mining purposes of Crown Lands to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against granting such lease.
Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the Warden at St. Bathans, on or before the 31st day of March, 1874.
Copy of the application made, and plans annexed, may be seen at the Warden’s Office, at St. Bathans.
Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this 24th day of March, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.

SCHEDULE.
George Purton, on behalf of the Scandinavian Water Race Company, for 10 acres of land, more or less, as the same may be found after survey to be within the pegs and trenches of the applicants, situated at the south of Hally and Company’s lease area, Surface Hill, St. Bathans.
