WANTED, a duly qualified Teacher for the Pleasant River Main District School. Salary, £100 per annum, and two-thirds of the School Fees. Free house, containing five rooms, and Garden. Attendance at school, 50. The late teacher was also Postmaster.

WANTED, for the Balclutha School, a SCHOOL- MISTRESS. One able to teach Music preferred. Salary £110 per annum. In increasing the salary, the Committee have extended the time for receipt of application to April 1st.

WANTED, a Schoolmaster for the Wallacetown School; salary, Government subsidy, and School fees, with 2½ acres of land, and free house containing five rooms. Applications with testimonials to be sent in to the Rev. A. Stevens, Chairman of School Committee, on or before the 20th May. One qualified to teach the classics and Higher Branches preferred. Must be able to enter upon his duties by the 29th June.

EDUCATION RESERVES, SOUTHLAND.

APPLICATIONS will be received by Mr John H. Baker, Survey Office, Invercargill, from persons wishing to lease any of the Reserves as formerly advertised.

Copies of the Otago Regulations, and conditions for the leasing of Education Reserves, can be obtained from Mr Baker, Invercargill.

NOTICE.

TENDERS Wanted by the Portobello Road Board for the following Works in the Sandymount Sub-division, viz.:

Cutting Hill on Seal-point Road.

Mr. George Boyles will show the work, on Saturday, the 28th inst., at 12 o’clock.

Tenders will be received until the 4th of April prox., at noon.

WAIPORI DISTRICT ROAD BOARD.

TENDERS are invited by the Board, up till noon on Saturday, the 4th April, for several Contracts in the above District, including Bridges, Metal, and formation.

Plans and specifications can be seen for the works in each Sub-division as under:—

Maungatua—At the Post Office, Maungatua.

Clarendon—At the Post Office, Lake Wapori.

Waihola West—At Mr. Joseph Graham’s.

Tenders to be addressed to the Chairman, Lake Waipori Post Office.

The Board does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

THE Ratepayers in the Subdivisions of Signal Hill, Harlington, and Pine Hill, are hereby notified that the Voters Lists for the year ending June, 1874, can be inspected at my residence during the month of April, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., Sundays excepted, and any Ratepayer whose name may have been omitted, and claiming to be inserted on the Voters’ List, are required to make application in writing, in the form of Schedule No. 6, as per Roads Ordinance, 1871.

MONDAY, 6th APRIL.

2000 ACRES Land open for application on Deferred Payments, Tuapeka West.

Notice is hereby given, that Sections 1 to 42, Block XI., Tuapeka West District, Run 123, on both sides of the Road Lawrence to Tuapeka Mouth, will be open for application on Monday, the 6th April, 1874, at the District Land Office, Lawrence.

Applications must be accompanied by a deposit of 1s 3d per acre, being the first half year’s occupation fee.

The Sections are 50 acres each.

The purchase money is payable at the rate of 2s 6d per annum for 10 years.

Plans to be seen, and lithographs obtained at Lawrence and Dunedin.

MONDAY, 6th April, 1874.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Lease for 10 years of the undermentioned Runs will be offered for sale by public auction at the Land Office, Invercargill, on the 6th day of April next, in terms of the “Otago Waste Land Act, 1872,” at the upset price of half-penny per acre. Rental to be an assessment of 3s. 6d. for every head of great cattle, or 7d. for every head of small cattle, to be depastured on the Runs; but the minimum stock on which assessment shall be charged shall not be less than the number set opposite each. Lease to commence on the 6th day of April, 1874. A deposit of one-tenth of the purchase money, and of the proportion of the annual rent from 6th April to 1st October next, shall be payable, the balance within one month.
