MEETING OF THE PROVINCIAL COUNCIL.

PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

IN pursuance of the power and authority vested in me in that behalf, I do hereby fix and proclaim that the Thirty-third Session of the Provincial Council of the Province of Otago, shall be held within the Provincial Council Hall, Dunedin, in the said Province, and shall commence upon Wednesday, the 29th day of April, 1873, at noon; and the Members of the said Council are hereby warned to give their attendance at such time and place accordingly.

Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the said Province, this eleventh day of March, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.

PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

I, JAMES MACANDREW, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in the Superintendent of the Province of Otago in this behalf, by the “Roads Diversion Ordinance, 1873,” and of the powers vested in me as Superintendent of the Province of Otago, hereby proclaim and declare that all those roads and all those portions of roads in the Province of Otago, mentioned in and referred to in the said “Roads Diversion Ordinance, 1873,” and particularly described in the Schedule hereto, shall, from and after the day of the date hereof, cease to be public roads or thoroughfares, and shall no longer form part of the public roads, in the several Road Districts in the Province of Otago, mentioned in the Schedule to the said Ordinance annexed.

7.—Portobello Road District.

(1.) All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 1a 0r 2@ more or less being a road line situate in the Portobello District: bounded towards the north-east by sections numbered 24 25 26 and parts of 23 and 27 block II one thousand nine hundred and twenty (1920) links more or less and towards the south-west by section numbered 22 block II one thousand nine hundred and twenty (1920) links more or less.

Dated at Dunedin this ninth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.

CITY OF DUNEDIN.

Bye-Law No. XII.

A BYE-LAW of the Council of the City of Dunedin, made under Section 186 of the “Municipal Corporations Act, 1867,”—

A Bye-Law to prevent the sale of unwholesome meat within the City of Dunedin.


In pursuance of the powers and provisions contained in section 186 of part XIII of the “Municipal Corporations Act, 1867,” the Council of the City of Dunedin, ordain as follows, that is to say:—

“That from and after the date of this Bye-law coming into operation, any person who shall sell or offer for sale, within the City of Dunedin, any butcher’s meat which shall have had air blown under the skins thereof, or shall have had any fat or grease spouted or spread thereupon, shall, upon conviction thereof, forfeit and pay a penalty not exceeding (£5) five pounds.”

The foregoing bye-law was made and passed by the Council of the said City of Dunedin this seventh day of January, 1874.

MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF PORT CHALMERS.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Regulations of the Municipal Corporation of the Town of Port Chalmers, made under Schedule B of the “Municipal Corporations Act 1867,” and numbered 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 and 8, not having been disallowed by His Honor the Superintendent, are deposited at the Town Clerk’s office, Currie-street, Port Chalmers, and may be inspected for seven days from this date, at all reasonable times.
