IMPOUNDED
On the 16th day of February, 1874, by Constable Hiscocks:
1 yellow and white cow branded ⏤ off rump, and K off shoulder, with bull calf at foot, and rope round neck.
1 red steer, white flanks and large star.
Owners unknown, for trespassing in the township, and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the public pound at Lawrence, on Friday the 18th day of March, 1874, at 12 o’clock, noon.

One grey mare, no visible brands, near hind hoof rather longer than any of the rest.
Supposed to belong to some man in Dunedin; for trespassing on enclosed paddocks, for which nothing is claimed; and in default of being released, the above mare will be sold at the public Pound at Otakia, on Friday, the 20th day of March, 1874, at 12 o’clock noon.

NOTICE is hereby Given, that a Sitting of the Supreme Court, for the despatch of Criminal and Civil business, will be holden at the Supreme Court House, at Dunedin, on Monday, the Sixth day of April next, at the hour of ten o’clock in the forenoon; at which time and place all persons bound by recognizances to appear as prosecutors, plaintiffs, defendants, or witnesses, are required to give their attendance.

SUPREME COURT CIRCUIT SITTINGS.
NOTICE is hereby Given, that a Circuit Sitting of the Supreme Court for the despatch of Criminal Business will be holden at the Court House at Lawrence, on Tuesday, the seventeenth day of March next, at the hour of ten o’clock in the forenoon; at which time and place all persons bound by recognizances or otherwise to appear as prosecutors, defendants, or witnesses are required to give their attendance.
Delegation of the Governor’s Powers under “The Prisons Act, 1873,” to the Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS by the fifty-first section of “The Prisons Act, 1873,” it is enacted that the Governor in Council may, from time to time, delegate to the Superintendent of any Province the powers by the forty-seventh and fiftieth sections of the said Act vested in the Governor, to be exercised within such Province and not elsewhere, and may from time to time in like manner rescind any such delegation: Now therefore, I, Sir James Fergusson, Baronet, the Governor of the said Colony, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in me vested by the said in part recited Act, do hereby, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, delegate unto James Macandrew, Esq., as Superintendent of the Province of Otago, all the powers vested in me by the forty-seventh and fiftieth sections of the said Act, to be exercised within such Province and not elsewhere.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honorable Sir James Fergusson, Baronet, a Member of Her Majesty’s Most Honorable Privy Council, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same, at the Government House at Wellington, this nineteenth day of February, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.

NOW KNOW YE that I, Sir James Fergusson, Baronet, the Governor of New Zealand, in pursuance of the power and authority in me vested by the said Act, do hereby appoint the following place to be a Polling Place for the Electoral District hereinafter specified, for the election of Members of the House of Representatives, namely:

IT is hereby notified for public information, that, under the provisions of “The Public Health Act, 1872,” His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint the under-mentioned gentleman to be Public Vaccinator, to perform gratuitous vaccination in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, and any regulations made or to be made thereunder, for the districts mentioned in the Schedule hereto, and set opposite the name therein.
