LINDHURST ROAD BOARD.
NOTICE is hereby Given, that it is the intention of the Board to open a new road in the Waimumo Subdivision, said road to be one chain wide, and to start from the old Terrace road at a point near trig. Q., and end in the reserve, Mataura Bridge, passing through sections 4 and 46, the property of the N. Z. & A. Land Co., and section 3, the property of Mr Hugh Cameron.
Also, that the Board intend closing certain road lines in the Waimumo subdivision, as under, viz.:
That road line starting from the Mataura river, and dividing sections 52, 50, 48, and 46 from sections 21, 15, 9, and 4, and ending near trig. A.
Also, that road line starting from the Southern boundary of the Waimumo subdivision, and dividing sections 55 and 54 from section 26; sections 21, 15, and 9 from the unsold lands in the Lindhurst district; section 4 from section 3, and ending at a point near trig. T.
Also, that road line dividing sections 50 and 15 from sections 52 and 21.
Also, that road line which passes through the southern portion of section 26, and divides sections 21 and 22 from sections 15 and 20.
Also, that road line which divides section 15 from sections 16, 19, and 20, block III., Lothian district.
Maps and plans of above new road, and also of roads proposed to be closed, will lie for inspection at the store of Messrs M’Gibbon and Sons, Mataura Bridge; and all persons objecting are required to lodge such objections in writing with the Clerk of the Board previous to the 24th day of March next.
A meeting of the Board will be held at M’Intosh’s Hotel, Dacre, on Tuesday, 24th March next, for the purpose of considering objections, if any.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Hampden District Road Board intend to levy a General District Rate of one shilling in the pound on the annual value of all property throughout the district for the current year, ending 30th June, 1874. Objectors (if any) must lodge their objections in writing within 30 days from date, at the house of the Clerk, which will be heard at a special meeting at the Mechanics’ Institute, Hampden, on the first Wednesday in March, 1874, at 2 o’clock, p.m.
The Rate Book will lie for inspection at the store of Mr. Alex. McIntyre, Hampden.

No. 3.—Cutting drain and widening bridle track on beach, Cooper’s Inlet. Work to be shown at 3 o’clock.
Mr. Robert Kellas will meet with contractors on the 5th of March, as above, to show the works.
No. 4.—Formation of two chains, more or less, on district road leading towards Messrs. Rutherford & Ellis’s. Works to be shown by Mr. Robert Dick, on the 5th of March, at 11 o’clock.

I HEREBY give Notice that I intend to apply for a Water Race already constructed for Agricultural purposes, commencing at a point in the Dome Creek, Waikaia, and terminating at Water-wheel, on section 15 block I., Waikaia.
The length of such Race is one-half mile, or thereabouts, and its course is nearly north and south. The mean depth and breadth of such Water Race is 12 inches deep, and 18 in breadth, and is capable of carrying three (3) sluice heads of water.
