PROCLAMATION
Amending Regulations for the Depasturing of Stock within the Tuapeka Depasturing District.
By His Honor James Macandrew, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS it is enacted by section fourteen of the "Goldfields Act, 1866," that it shall be lawful for the Governor from time to time to make, alter, and revoke regulations for the depasturing of stock upon any lands within proclaimed Goldfields, for which a lease or license for depasturing purposes has not been granted, or has been cancelled or suspended. And whereas His Excellency the Governor did by a Proclamation issued under his hand and the seal of the Colony of New Zealand, bearing date the ninth day of July, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-three, delegate unto the Executive Government of the Province of Otago, his powers under section fourteen of the said "Goldfields Act, 1866." And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto, is land within a proclaimed Goldfield, for which a lease or license for depasturing purposes has not been granted, or has been cancelled or suspended. And whereas certain Regulations have from time to time been made for the depasturing of stock upon the said land described in the Schedule hereto. And whereas it is expedient to revoke the said Regulations.
Now therefore, I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Province, by virtue and in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by "The Goldfields Act, 1866," and of every or any other power in anywise in this behalf enabling me, do hereby revoke all Regulations heretofore made for the depasturing of stock upon the land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
All that area in the Province of Otago in the Colony of New Zealand containing by estimation 13,720 acres more or less, situate in Tuapeka East and Hedgehope Districts, being runs numbered respectively 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 on the map of the said districts, bounded towards the north by a line commencing at a road line 2,000 links west of Station D, Hedgehope District, and proceeding due east other that station to the east branch of the Waipori river, thence in a southerly direction along that river to a point on a line bearing 127 deg. 31 min. to Waitahuna Hill, thence in a south-easterly direction along that line to the road line from Lawrence to Waipori, thence in a westerly direction along that road line to peg 19, thence along the road line on the watershed of the Tuapeka and Waipori rivers to a point east of station X, Tuapeka district, thence in a west-south-westerly direction along a road line to the Tuapeka river, thence in a northerly direction to the source of the Tuapeka river near peg 9, and along the road line on the watershed of the Beaumont and Waipori rivers, and passing over pegs 10 2 and 11 to the starting point, excepting out of the above description Section 1, Block XVII Tuapeka East District.
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Otago, in presence of George Murray Webster and Horace Bastings, Esquires, two of the members of the Executive Council of the said Province, being also members of the Provincial Council thereof, this seventeenth day of February, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.

PROCLAMATION
Appointing certain Roads in the Hampden Road District to be Main District Roads.
By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS by the "Otago Roads Ordinance, 1871," it is provided that upon the application of the Road Board of any road district the Superintendent may from time to time, if it shall seem fit so to do, by proclamation, appoint that any roads or parts of roads, whether within or upon the boundary of such district, shall be main roads or main district roads: And whereas the Road Board for the Hampden road districts have applied to me, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, to appoint the roads hereinafter described to be main district roads—
Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by virtue and in exercise of the powers in this behalf vested in me by the said "Otago Roads Ordinance 1871," do hereby appoint the following roads situate within or upon the boundary of the Hampden road district aforesaid, to be main district roads (that is to say):—
1st, All that road line starting from the Main North Road, and passing along parts of Nottingham, Durham, Stafford, and Appleby streets, Hampden, through section 34, block I., Otepopo, and section 59, block I., Moeraki Survey Districts, to the Chalgrove Quarry.
