PORT CHALMERS WATERWORKS.

TENDERS are invited for the construction of the above works, according to plans and specifica-tions to be seen at the Engineer’s office, Port Chalmers.

Tenders, marked outside “Tender for Waterworks,” to be addressed to the Corporation Engineer, C. D. Irvine, Esq., Port Chalmers, not later than the 28th February, 1874. The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

OTAGO WASTE LANDS ACT, 1872.

SECTION 65, SUB-SECTION 1.—TENTH SCHEDULE.

To the District Land Officer at Naseby.

We hereby give Notice, that we intend to con-struct a Water-race, for irrigation and supplying water to paddocks, commencing at a point in the Pigburn Stream about a quarter of a mile above our homestead freehold, and terminating in the Taieri River at a point near the sheepwash.

The length of such water-race is three miles and a half, or thereabouts, and its intended course is nearly north and south. The mean depth and breadth of such water-race, 3 feet by 1 foot 6 inches, and it is capable of carrying four sluice heads of water.

Any person objecting to the issue of a License to the above named applicants, must lodge his objection in writing at my office within fourteen clear days from the date hereof; and February 5th 1874 is fixed as the day for deciding such application, if unopposed, and for notifying objections, if any.

THE Leases, for the Year from 1st April 1874 to 31st March 1875, of the various Tolls throughout the Province, will be sold by public auction, at the Provincial Government Buildings, on the 20th day of March, at noon.

NOTICE is hereby given that all that portion of the Otago Goldfield described in the Schedule hereto, has been declared open for occupation in extended claims under Regulation IV of the Goldfields Regulations.
