SPECIAL RATE for Flagstaff Subdivision of the
Half-way Bush Road District.

The Half-way Bush Road Board hereby give Notice
that it is the intention of the Board to levy a Special Rate
of One Shilling (1s.) in the £, on all rateable property
within the Flagstaff Subdivision of the Half-way Bush
Road District, for the period ending June 30th, 1874, and
that the said Special Rate will be made at a Meeting of
the Board, to be held in the School House, Wakari, on
Saturday, January 24th, 1874, at half-past Seven o’clock
in the Evening. A statement of the proposed Rate may
be seen at Bunting’s store, Half-way Bush.

within the Waikari Subdivision of the Half-way Bush
Road District, for the period ending June 30th, 1874, and
that the said Special Rate will be made at a Meeting of
the Board, to be held in the School House, Wakari, on
Saturday, January 24th, 1874, at half-past Seven o’clock
in the Evening. A statement of the proposed Rate may
be seen at Bunting’s Store, Half-way Bush.

PORT CHALMERS WATERWORKS.

TENDERS are invited for the construction of
the above works, according to plans and specifications
to be seen at the Engineer’s office, Port Chalmers.
Tenders, marked outside ‘Tender for Waterworks,’ to
be addressed to the Corporation Engineer, C. D. Irving,
Esq., Port Chalmers, not later than the 28th February,
1874. The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

STATEMENT of the Affairs of the Enterprise
Water Race Company, Registered, for the half-
year ending December, 1873, made in accordance

ABSTRACTS FROM PREVIOUS GAZETTES
of Impounding Notices:

23rd January, Friday, noon, 7 bulls, 5 cows, 2 steers, 3
heifers, and a horse will be sold at West Taieri
Pound.

30th January, Friday, at noon, a steer and two cows
will be sold at Popotunoa Pound.
A mare will be sold at West Taieri Pound.
A cow and a filly will be sold at East Taieri Pound.

IMPOUNDED on the 3rd January, 1874, by
Thomas Pollock, Popotunoa,—
Red and white Heifer, branded ‘like JD’ near rump,
slice off bottom near ear.
Brown and white heifer, branded ‘H’ on off shoulder,
piece out of edge of off ear.
Owner unknown, for trespassing on grass paddock, for
which no damage is claimed, and in default of being re-
leased, the above cattle will be sold at the public pound
at Popotunoa on Friday the 30th day of January, 1874,
at 12 o’clock, noon.

IMPOUNDED on the 14th day of January, 1874,
by Mr. Robert Todd, East Taieri:—
5 calves, one yellow and white heifer, strawberry
heifer, red do., one red do., one red bull calf;
all unbranded.
For trespassing on growing crops, for which 20s.
damages is claimed, and in default of being released,
the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at
East Taieri, on Friday, the 30th day of January, 1874,
at 12 o’clock, noon.
