NOTICE

Of certain Land in the Shotover District, in the Province of Otago having been reserved for Acclimatisation purposes.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have under and by virtue of Section 160 of the “Otago Waste Lands Act 1872,” recommended that the lands hereinafter described should be reserved for acclimatisation purposes; and it is expedient that the said lands should be so reserved for that purpose: Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do hereby publish and declare that I have made and dedicated the lands hereinafter described as reserves for acclimatisation purposes (that is to say):—

All that piece or parcel of land shown on the record map of Shotover District as an Acclimatisation Reserve, containing 10a. 1r. 26p., more or less, being section 23 of block XX, Shotover District.

NOTICE

Of certain Land in the Town of Hampden, in the Province of Otago, having been set apart as a site for a Drill-shed, for the use of the Hampden Rifle Volunteers.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have under and by virtue of Section 160 of the “Otago Waste Lands Act 1872,” recommended that the lands hereinafter described should be set apart as a site for a Drill-shed; and it is expedient that the said lands should be so reserved for that purpose: Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do hereby publish and declare that I have made and dedicated the lands hereinafter described a reserve for a site for a Drill-shed for the use of the Hampden Rifle Volunteers (that is to say):—

Sections 10 and 11, block XXIV, Hampden.

Dated at Dunedin this eighth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.

NOTICE

Of certain Land in the Province of Otago, having been reserved as a Public Cemetery at Purakanui.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have under and by virtue of Section 160 of the “Otago Waste Lands Act 1872,” recommended that the lands hereinafter described should be reserved as a public cemetery at Purakanui; and it is expedient that the said lands should be so reserved for that purpose: Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do hereby publish and declare that I have made and dedicated the lands hereinafter described a public cemetery at Purakanui (that is to say):—

All that area in the Province of Otago, in the Colony of New Zealand, containing by admeasurement six (6) acres one (1) rood and twenty-four (24) poles, more or less, situate in the North Harbour and Blueskin District, being section numbered fifty-six (56) block four (4) on the map of the said district.

Dated at Dunedin this eighth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.

NOTICE

Of certain Land in the Province of Otago having been reserved for Educational Purposes.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have under and by virtue of Section 160 of the “Otago Waste Lands Act 1872,” recommended that the lands hereinafter described should be reserved for Educational purposes; and it is expedient that the said lands should be so reserved for that purpose: Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do hereby publish and declare that I have made and dedicated the lands hereinafter described as reserves for educational purposes (that is to say):—

Sections 14, 15, and 16, block VI, Waihola.

Dated at Dunedin this eighth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.

NOTICE

Of certain land in the town of Queenstown in the Province of Otago having been set apart as water reserves for the use of the inhabitants of Queenstown.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have under and by virtue of Section 160 of the “Otago Waste Lands Act 1872,” recommended that the lands hereinafter described should be reserved for the purposes of recreation for the use of the inhabitants of the town of Queenstown; and it is expedient that the said lands should be so reserved for that purpose: Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do hereby publish and declare that I have made and dedicated the lands hereinafter described water reserves for the use of the inhabitants of the town of Queenstown (that is to say):—

All that piece or parcel of land shown on the record map of the town of Queenstown as a water reserve, being sections 7 and 11 of block VII, Queenstown, containing 2 roods and 23 poles, more or less; also, all that piece or parcel of land shown as a water reserve on the record map of the town of Queenstown, being sections 1, 12, and 13 of block XXXV, Queenstown, containing 2 roods and 82 poles, more or less; and also all that piece and parcel of land shown as a water reserve on the record map of the town of Queenstown, being sections 1, 6, 7, and 8 of block XLIV, Queenstown, containing 2 roods 20 poles, more or less.

Dated at Dunedin this eighth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.

WHEREAS the Provincial Council of Otago have under and by virtue of Section 160 of the “Otago Waste Lands Act 1872,” recommended that the lands hereinafter described should be set apart as a site for an Athenaeum; and it is expedient that the said lands should be so reserved for that purpose: Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf, do hereby publish and declare that I have made and dedicated the lands hereinafter described a reserve for a site for an Athenaeum (that is to say):—

Sections 8, 9, and 11, block VIII, Tapanui.

Dated at Dunedin this eighth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.
