and like Z near shoulder;
for which 5s per head is claimed for driving expenses.

IMPOUNDED, on 27th October, by Mr Robert
Stewart, Hawksburn station—
One dark bay mare, branded like R near shoulder,
with rope on her neck;
One bay filly, branded two C's conjoined near shoulder;
One red and white heifer, branded like fish-tail through
S near ribs;
One yellow and white cow, branded like S with stroke
through it near ribs;
One red and white steer, indistinct brand near rump;
One white steer, like S with stroke through, near
ribs;
One red cow, branded like DH off rump, blotch off
ribs;
One red cow, branded like WC of rump, indistinct
brand off ribs;
One red and white bull, with no visible brands;
One strawberry steer, branded like S with stroke
through it near ribs;
One red and white cow, branded like W m near rump,
blotch brand near ribs, H off rump, off ear
marked;
for which 5s per head is claimed for driving expenses;

IMPOUNDED, on 28th October, 1873, by Mr James
McArthur, farmer, Waikeri-keri Valley—
One dark bay entire horse, with no visible brands, near
hind foot white, little white on forehead, little
white on back, with a big near fore knee.

The above entire horse is impounded for running at large
amongst the impounded mares, to find out the owner.
The supposed owner is Mr Robert McMoran, Kingston
or Queenstown; and in default of the above cattle
being released, they will be sold on Friday, the 21st
day of November, 1873, at 12 o'clock noon, at the Leaning
Rock, Clyde pound.

Mr John Turnbull,
One bay gelding, branded on the off rump like a bell,
with a figure 8 under;
owner unknown, for trespassing on grass paddock, for
which 20s is claimed for driving and damages; and in
default of being released, the above gelding will be sold
at the public pound, at Oamaru, on Friday, the 21st day
of November, 1873, at twelve o'clock noon.

J. F. Kitching, Esq., Moa Flat Station,
One bay horse, lame in near fore foot, branded JR near
shoulder, S near cheek;
owner unknown, for trespassing on Moa Flat Station and
property, for which 10s for driving is claimed; and in
default of being released, the above horse will be sold at
the public pound, at Tapanui, on Friday, the 21st day of
November, 1873, at 12 o'clock noon.

SUPREME COURT CIRCUIT SITTING.

NOTICE is hereby given that a Circuit Court Sitting of
the Supreme Court for the despatch of Criminal and
Civil business will be holden in the Court-house, at Law-
rence, on Monday, the Eighth day of December next, at
the hour of Ten o'clock in the forenoon, at which time
and place all persons bound by recognizances or other-
wise to appear as prosecutors, plaintiffs, defendants, or
witnesses, are required to give their attendance.

CORPORATION OF INVERCARGILL.

Loan, £3,500, at Six per cent.

THE Town Council having resolved, under the borrow-
ing powers conferred on the Corporation by the
"Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance 1865," to con-
tract a second Loan of £3,500, sealed tenders will be
received up to 3 p.m. of the 20th November, 1873, for
Seventy (70) Fifty Pounds (£50) Debentures. To have
a currency of twenty years from the date of issue, and
bear interest at the rate of six per cent. per annum,
payable half-yearly at Dunedin or Invercargill. The
highest or any tender not necessarily accepted. Tenders
to be indorsed, "Tender for Debentures."

The interest and sinking funds on loans are a first
charge upon the rates. The debentures will be redeem-
able by a sinking fund, invested annually by Trustees
appointed by the Superintendent.

The money raised will be expended exclusively on the
drainage of the town and formation of streets.

The rates for the statutory financial year, ending 19th
April, 1872, amounted to £1046 9s, of which £10 18s 6d
remains unpaid.
For 1873, £1230.
For 1874, £1386.

The annual revenue amounts to about £4000.

The financial position of the Corporation is shown by
the Balance Sheet and Estimate of Revenue, published in
the Provincial Government Gazettes of 15th January
and 30th April, 1873, respectively.

NOTICE.

NOTICE is hereby given that from and after this date
any person removing cattle from off the land be-
longing to Mr Samuel O'Kane, Reliance Hotel, Otakia, and
situate in blocks III., IV., and V., Otakia district, without
first giving Mr O'Kane notice of his intention so to do
will be prosecuted according to law—the penalty for said
offence being any sum not exceeding £50; and further
notice is hereby given, that from and after the 10th day
of November next all cattle found trespassing on said
land will be impounded.
