NOTICE.—The Peninsula Road Board having decided to levy a rate of one shilling in the £ throughout the whole district for the current year, all persons having any objection whatsoever to the said rate, are requested to deposit their objections in writing with the Clerk of the Board within one month from this date. Objectors will be heard in support of their objections at a special meeting of the Board, to be held in the Highcliff School-house, on Saturday, 8th November, 1873.

THE Kaikorai Road Board have made a general District Rate of 1s in the £ for the year ending 20th March, 1874. All Ratepayers objecting to the above Rate must send in their objections in writing to the undersigned, within 30 days from the 7th October.

Loughnan, of run No. 340, 1 roan cow, indistinct brand of ribs, off ear marked; 1 white cow, like R7 near rump; 1 yellow and white cow, like KO near ribs, 22 off rump, near ear marked; 1 brindle cow, like TK and three C’s (one above and two below the K) off rump; 1 brindle and white bull, no visible brands; 1 brindle and white bullock, indistinct brands off rump and hip; 1 strawberry cow, like φM off rump, off ear marked; for which 3s 6d per head driving expenses is claimed; and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold on Friday, the 7th day of November, 1873, at 12 o’clock noon, at the Leaning Rock (Clyde) Pound.
