ENGINEER

Applications will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works until Monday, 11th August, for the appointment of District Engineer for the Interior District.

Requisite information as to duties may be obtained at the Office of the Provincial Engineer.

Tenders to be endorsed, "Roads and Works, tender for contract No. 733." The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

His Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has appointed Joseph Lloyd, of Palmerston, in the Province of Otago, to be keeper of the Palmerston Pound, vice J. URINBUILD, resigned.

TENDERS wanted by the Peninsula Road Board for 10 chains of walling on the beach road at Vauxhall. Work to be shewn on the 9th inst., at 10 o'clock, by Messrs Hooper and Stuart. Tenders to be endorsed "Tender, Peninsula Road Board," and lodged at the school-house, Highcliffe, on Monday, the 11th current, at one o'clock.
