NOTICE is hereby given that His Honor James Macandrew, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in exercise of the powers vested in him in that behalf by the 124th section of the “Otago Roads Ordinance 1871,” has been pleased to appoint

Mr John Gorrie, of Mosgiel,

to be Auditor for the North Taieri Road Board.

Apprehending Notices:—

1st August, Friday, noon, a bullock, 3 heifers, a steer and a mare will be sold at Waipori Pound.
5th August, Friday, noon, a gelding will be sold at Oamaru Pound.
8th August, Friday, noon, a gelding will be sold at Omarama Pound.
8th August, Friday, noon, a mare and foal will be sold at Glenkenich Pound.
9th August, Friday, noon, a cow and bull calf will be sold at Hampden Pound.

Researched from last week; in consequence of the word sanctioned, being written instead of cancelled, in 6th line from top of last week’s notice.


NOTICE

is hereby given that the Agricultural Leases issued in favor of George Mackay for

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Works until the 31st inst., for the removal of one of the old immigration buildings, Princes street south, and re-erection on the Reclaimed Ground, near the prisoners’ work-shops.

Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works, tender for contract No. 733.” The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

HALF-WAY BUSH ROAD DISTRICT.

WANTED tenders for the office of Clerk and Collector for the above-named District, for the ensuing year. To be lodged with the Chairman, Geo. Hepburn, Esq., Half-way Bush, on or before noon of the 9th of August next.

may be obtained from the Government Storekeeper, Dunedin. Price, 2s 6d; if posted, 3s 2d. The usual allowance to the trade. Postage stamps cannot be received in payment.


EDUCATION RESERVES, SOUTHLAND.

APPLICATIONS will be received by Mr. John H. Baker, Survey Office, Invercargill, from persons wishing to lease any of the Reserves as formerly advertised.

Copies of the Otago Regulations, and conditions for the Leasing of Education Reserves, can be obtained from Mr. Baker, Invercargill.
