One strawberry heifer, point off ears, no visible brands

One red cow, branded TB near rump, blotched brand on near side

Owners unknown, for trespassing on private property, for which 2s per head damages are claimed; and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the public pound at Lovells Flat on Friday, the 18th day of July, 1873, at 12 o'clock noon.

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the nomination of Candidates for the office of Mayor of Dunedin, for the year ending 1st August, 1874, will be declared on Monday, the 14th July, 1873, at the terrace of the Provincial Council Chambers, Water Street, at the hour of noon.

HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct a Head Water Race for Flour Mill purposes, commencing at a point about one half-mile above the gorge of Benger creek, and terminating at the lower end of Moa Flat, opposite Mr Brazil’s hotel.

The length of such race is three miles or thereabouts, and its intended course is east.

The mean depth and breadth of such race is 3 feet, and it is capable of carrying 4 sluice heads of water.
