NOTICE
NOTICE is hereby given, that His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in exercise of the powers vested in him on behalf by the 124th section of the "Otago Roads Ordinance 1871," has been pleased to appoint James Alexander Henderson, as Auditor for the Glenled District Road Board.

The following notice is republished from Gazette of 14th May:
In consequence of "James" having been printed instead of "Walter Grieve" in that Gazette,
HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has appointed
Walter Grieve, Rockland Station, Deep Stream, and John Annandson, jun., Wyndham, Papotunoa, to be Honorary Inspectors of Sheep for the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS on the night of Sunday, the 4th of May instant, Two Stacks of Hay, a Barn and Chaff House, containing Hay, situate at Glenquoich Station, the property of...

WHEREAS on the night of Sunday, the 4th of May instant, two stacks of Hay, a Barn and Chaff House, were maliciously set on fire... Notice is hereby given, that a reward of Two Hundred Pounds will be paid by the Provincial Government of Otago to any person who shall give such information as shall lead to the conviction of the person or persons by whom the said fire was caused; and His Excellency the Governor will be advised to grant a Free Pardon to an Accomplice, not being the person who actually caused the fire, as shall give such information as shall lead to a like result.\n

Maliciously Setting Fire to Three Stacks of Wheat and One Stack of Oats.
£100 Reward.
And a Free Pardon to an Accomplice.
WHEREAS an inquest was held at the Athol Hotel, Athol, on the 9th instant, to inquire as to the origin of the fire, the Jury returned the following verdict:— "That the said fire was caused by some person or persons to the Jurors unknown, feloniously, wilfully, maliciously, with intent then and there to injure said Joseph Rogers."
And whereas Mr Rogers has offered a reward of One Hundred Pounds for the detection of the originator of the fire: Notice is hereby given that a reward of One Hundred Pounds (supplemental to that offered by Mr. Rogers) will be paid by the Provincial Government of Otago, to any person who shall give such information as shall lead to the conviction of the person or persons by whom the said fire was caused; and His Excellency the Governor will be advised to grant a Free Pardon to an Accomplice, not being the person who actually caused the fire, as shall give such information as shall lead to a like result.

WHEREAS on the night of Monday, the 10th of March last, three Stacks of Wheat and one Stack of Oats, situate at Shag Valley, the property of Robert Steel, valued at £150, were destroyed by fire: And whereas at an inquest held at the Royal Hotel, Palmerston, on the 18th of that month, to inquire as to the origin of the said fire, the Jury returned the following verdict:— "That on the night of Monday, the 10th of March, 1873, three stacks of Wheat and one Stack of Oats, the property of Robert Steel, were maliciously set on fire by some person or persons unknown."
