PROCLAMATION.

Appointing certain Roads in the Waiareka Road District to be Main District Roads.

By His Honor, James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS by the "Otago Roads Ordinance, 1871," it is provided that upon the application of the Road Board of any road district, the Superintendent may from time to time, if it shall seem fit so to do, by proclamation appoint that any roads or parts of roads, whether within or upon the boundary of such district, shall be main roads or main district roads: And whereas the Road Board for the Waiareka road district have applied to me, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, to appoint the road hereinafter described to be a main district road:

Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by virtue and in exercise of the powers in this behalf vested in me by the said "Otago Roads Ordinance, 1871," do hereby appoint the following roads, situate within or upon the boundary of the Waiareka Road District aforesaid, to be a main district road, that is to say:

All that area in the Province of Otago, situate in the Oamaru Survey District, being District Road line, together with parts of sections numbered respectively 1 of 30, 2 of 30, 25 and 26, block IV; 1, 2, 3, and 28, block III; and 33 block III, proposed to be declared a main district, bounded towards the north-east by other parts of the said sections, also by sections numbered 26, block IV; towards the south by part of the said section numbered 2 of 30; towards the south-west by the other parts of the said sections, also by sections numbered 1, block IV; 48, 2 of 11, 2 of 12, 1 of 12, 1 of 23, 2 of 23, 2 of 24, 26, and 28, block III, and towards the north-west by part of section 33 block III.

All that district road line in Oamaru Survey District, bounded towards the east by Quarry reserves and sections numbered respectively 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 and 25, block VI; towards the south by a road line; towards the west by sections numbered respectively 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12, block V, and 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39 and Quarry Reserve, block V; and towards the north by a road line.

All that district road line situate in Oamaru Survey District, bounded towards the north by a road line; towards the east by block numbered IV; towards the south by a road line; and towards the west by sections numbered respectively 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13, block V.

All that district road line in the Oamaru Survey District, bounded towards the north by a road line; towards the east and south-east by sections numbered respectively 50, 61 and 52, block IV, and Reserve; towards the south by section numbered 48, block VI; and towards the north-west and west by sections numbered respectively 1 of 13, 2 of 13, 1 of 17, 2 of 17, 47, 33, 2 of 32, 34, 35, 36, 39 and 40, block VI, 42, 41, 43, 44, 46, 46, 50 and 52, block IV.

Given under my hand, and issued under the public seal of the Province of Otago, at Dunedin, this twenty-third day of May, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.

Appointing certain Roads in the Kakanui Road District to be Main District Roads.

By His Honor, James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS by the "Otago Roads Ordinance, 1871," it is provided that upon the application of the Road Board of any road district the Superintendent may from time to time, if it shall seem fit so to do, by proclamation appoint that any roads or parts of roads, whether within or upon the boundary of such district, shall be main roads or main district roads: And whereas the Road Board for the Kakanui road district have applied to me, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, to appoint the roads hereinafter described to be main district roads:

Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by virtue and in exercise of the powers in this behalf vested in me by the said "Otago Roads Ordinance, 1871," do hereby appoint the following roads situate within or upon the boundary of the Kakanui Road District aforesaid, to be main district roads, that is to say:

[Road descriptions as stated in the previous proclamation, with relevant sections and blocks for the Kakanui Road District.]

Given under my hand, and issued under the public seal of the Province of Otago, at Dunedin, this twenty-third day of May, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.

OTAGO ROADS ORDINANCE, 1871.

Alteration of Polling Places.

WHEREAS by notice and appointment dated the eighteenth day of June, 1872, published in Otago Provincial Gazette, the polling places for the respective districts and subdivisions of districts therein mentioned, under and by virtue of the "Otago Roads Ordinance 1871" were duly fixed and appointed until the same shall be altered or varied: And whereas it is expedient that the same should now be altered.
