EDUCATIONAL MEETINGS.
A meeting of the owners and occupiers of land and householders in the Educational Districts of West Taieri and Outram respectively will be held in the Schoolhouse of each district upon Monday, the 9th day of June, 1873, at half-past seven o’clock p.m.

WANTED, a teacher for the Campbelltown School. Married man preferred. Salary, including Government grant, £150 per annum, with £25 additional if wife will assist a portion of the day in the school. Free house containing five rooms. Applications and testimonials must be lodged with the undersigned on or before the 31st May, 1873.

TEACHER wanted for Mihiian Side School, Mataura. Salary—Government Grant, with School Fees, Master’s Residence, ten acres of Land, and enclosed Garden, and prospect of succeeding late Teacher as Registrar of Births, Deaths, and Marriages. Applications, with testimonials, to be lodged with the Clerk, on or before 20th May, 1873.

EDUCATION RESERVES, SOUTHLAND.
APPLICATIONS will be received by Mr. John H. Baker, Survey Office, Invercargill, from persons wishing to lease any of the Reserves as formerly advertised.
Copies of the Otago Regulations, and conditions for the Leasing of Education Reserves, can be obtained from Mr. Baker, Invercargill.
PUBLIC NOTICE
Under Section 1 of Regulation IV.
WHEREAS I have received sufficient proof that the portion of the Otago Goldfield described in the Schedule hereto is for the whole or the greater part of an inferior character as regards the value of its gold deposits: Now therefore I hereby give notice that the same may be occupied by holders of miners’ rights in claims of the undermentioned size:—
One (1) acre for each holder of a miner’s right, provided that no block claim shall comprise more than six (6) acres altogether.
Given under my hand at Naseby, this ninth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.

SCHEDULE.
All that portion of the Otago Goldfield, situate at the eastern side of Main Gully, and containing about three acres more or less, bounded on the north by old workings, 180 yards; on the south by garden in the occupation of Herman Tietzens, 180 yards; on the east by Crown Lands, 80 yards; and on the west by Crown Lands, 80 yards.
WASTE LAND BOARD ADVERTISEMENTS.
NOTICE is hereby given that the land lately opened for sale at Waikoikoi, Glenkenich, being sections numbered 1 to 39, 52 to 58, 65 to 70, 78, 80, and 81, block 3, Glenkenich, is withdrawn from sale.
Also, sections 8 and 11, block 1, Kaitangata District, advertised to be sold at Tokomairiro on the 9th instant, are also withdrawn.

RUN FOR SALE.
By public Auction, at the Land Office, Invercargill, the pastoral lease for ten years of Run 395, Southland, Otago, known as the Pahi Run, containing about 3800 acres. Delivery at expiration of present lease, in April, 1874, purchaser to pay ten per cent. of first year’s rent on the fall of the hammer. Lease sold subject to right of Government to take a portion for special settlement without compensation; upset price, £1 13s 4d per hundred acres, for the first thousand acres and 16s 8d for every hundred acres in addition.
LAND WITHDRAWN FROM SALE.
THE lands in blocks X and XII, Glenkenich, and VIII, Waipahee, Districts, are withdrawn from sale for the present.

APPLICATIONS FOR LAND.
To prevent misapprehension, persons desirous of applying to purchase or occupy Crown lands are informed that every application must be made at the Land Office of the district in which the land applied for is situated.
The land in Glenkenich and Waipahee districts, advertised open for application on the 22nd inst., must be applied for at Invercargill.
Forms of application may be had at any Land Office, or will be sent by post to any one if requested.
Applications may be sent by post addressed to “The District Land Officer,” along with a deposit in favor of the Receiver of Land Revenue for the deposit of 2s an acre of the land applied for.

ADDITIONAL CLAUSE No. 9 TO THE BYE-LAWS, FOREST HILL HUNDRED.
THAT all leaseholders depasturing cattle on said district shall within fourteen days of the date hereof return to the Chairman the number of acres leased, from whom leased, and if required produce the lease.

TO THE DISTRICT OFFICER AT NASEBY.
HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct a water race for the purposes of irrigation and woolsouring, commencing at a point in swampy ground to the south-west of sections 3 and 4, Waihemo District, and terminating in the pre-emptive right of Run 255. The length of such race is two miles or thereabouts, and its intended course is through land leased by me from the Crown, and through private land belonging to Bernhard Luks. The mean depth and breadth of such race is about nine inches deep and one foot broad, and it is capable of carrying two sluice heads of water.

Clyde, 30th April, 1873.
I HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct a dam for agricultural purposes, about 300 yards from upper end of Pound Farm, Clyde, Waikerikeri, to contain 200,000 gallons, and I estimate 100 days will be necessary for its construction.

An application having been made by Messrs Fraser and McLean for a pastoral lease of 6000 acres more or less of country situated between the Manapouri and Monowai Lakes, Waiau west, and bounded towards the north by the Manapori Lake, towards the east by the bush and the Hunter Mountains, towards the southward by the bush and the Watershed of Monowai Lake, and towards the west by the bush and a range of mountains shown on office maps: Notice is hereby given, that a lease of the said country will be granted to the above applicants unless objections are made to the same before Wednesday, the 2nd day of July next.
