Tenders to be indorsed “Roads and Works Tender for Contract No. 730.”

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Tuesday, 22nd April, 1873, for

Contract No. 731.—Construction of portion of road Tokomairiro to Coast, commencing at the Devil’s Bridge and extending towards Two Stone Hill.

Plans and Specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the Office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at Schoolhouse, Wāngaloa.

MOUNT IDA WATER SUPPLY.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Tuesday, 15th April, 1873, for

Contract No 5.—Construction of about six miles of Head Race.

Plans and Specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained at the Office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at Police Camp, Naseby.

Tenders to be indorsed “Mount Ida Water Supply, Tender for Contract No. 5.”

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

CONDITIONAL OFFERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works until 1st May, 1873, from persons desirous of constructing a Bridge over the Kawarau Falls, Frankton.

Terms of conditions to be seen at the Provincial Engineer’s Office, Dunedin; also at the Police Camp, Queenstown.

TENDERS Wanted by the Peninsula Road Board, Highcliffe Sub-Division, for the supply of 154 yards metal; also, for the extension of No. 1 road 12 chains, more or less, at per chain. To be shown by Messrs. Timock and Waugh, on the 19th inst., at noon; meeting at the junction of the Portobello and Highcliffe Roads.

The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

Tenders to be lodged with Mr Timock, not later than the 2nd May, 1873.

WAIPORI DISTRICT ROAD BOARD.

TENDERS Wanted, for Cutting a ditch on Swamp Road, Waihela District. Plans and specifications may be seen on application to Mr Duff, by whom tenders will be received until the 25th April, 1873. The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

The Voters Lists, for the Subdivisions of the above District are now ready, and may be seen at the house of the undersigned during the month of April, 1873.

HARBOR LIGHT AT WAIKOUAITI.

NOTICE is hereby given that on and after the 1st May, 1873, a Bright fixed White Light will be exhibited from an ordinary Lantern, erected on the South Head of Waikouaiti Bay, in latitude 45° 39′ S., and longitude 170° 41′ 45″ E., and will be seen in clear weather at a distance of 7 nautical miles, between the magnetic bearings of S.E. ¼ E. and W. by S. ¼ S.
