CLOSING ROADS.

NOTICE is hereby given that objections having been lodged with me against the shutting up of certain road lines included in the Roads Diversion Ordinance 1872, situate in the Districts of Blue Mountain, Beaconsfield, Chelsea, Cranbourne, Coombe Hay, Goodwood, Highcliffe, Harewood, Kaikorai, Lawrence, Lovell’s Brook, Meadowbank, Sandy mont, Roslyn, Waihola West, road line at Botanical Gardens, a special meeting of the Executive Council will be held in the Government Buildings, Dunedin, on Tuesday, the 25th day of Feb., at noon, for the purpose of deciding the said objections, when parties interested are invited to be present.

FIXING SITTINGS OF DISTRICT COURT, OTAGO GOLD FIELDS.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in this behalf enabling me, I, Sir George Ferguson Bowen, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby fix and appoint the sittings of the District Court of the Otago Gold Fields, during the months of March and April next, shall be held as follows:—

In the Resident Magistrate’s Court at Naseby on the second Wednesday in March next.

In the Resident Magistrate’s Court at Clyde on the Monday next after the second Wednesday in March next.

In the Resident Magistrate’s Court at Queenstown, on the Monday second after the second Wednesday in March next.

In the Resident Magistrate’s Court at Lawrence on the second Tuesday in April next.

Provided that in case any of the days so fixed as aforesaid shall happen to be a holiday, then the Court appointed for that day shall be holden on the first day thereafter, not being a holiday.

Issued this thirteenth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Superintendent has received a Petition, in accordance with the provisions of Section 8 of the “Otago Roads Ordinance 1871,” praying for the division of the Pine Hill Subdivision of the North-East Valley District Road Board into wards; and that if no objection is urged on or before the 24th of February next, the Superintendent will submit the matter
