NOTICE to Applicants for Unsurveyed Land under "Otago Waste Lands Act 1866."—The sections in the subjoined Schedule being now surveyed, the applicants are informed that the Waste Land Board will give its decision on their applications at this office, on Thursday, the 18th day of February, 1873, at twelve o’clock noon; on or before which day objections to the survey, if any, must be made. In the event of the applications being granted, the purchase-money may be paid forthwith:—

NOTICE to Applicants for Unsurveyed Land, under "Otago Waste Land Act 1872."—It is hereby notified to the applicants whose names appear in the subjoined Schedule, that they have been declared to be the purchasers of the sections set opposite their names:—the Schedule, and that the purchase-money of these sections must be paid to the Receiver of Land Revenue in Invercargill, on or before Wednesday, the 12th day of February 1873, otherwise the applications will be deemed withdrawn, cancelled and void, and the deposit made at the time of lodging the application will be forfeited:—

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waste Lands Board of the Townships of Alexandra, Clyde, Cromwell, Bendigo, Newcastle, Pembroke, Gladstone, Ettrick, Manuherikia, and Ophir, are postponed till further notice, owing to the necessary absence of the Auctioneer.


RUNS FOR SALE

NOTICE is hereby given, that pastoral leases for 10 years, of the following Runs, will be offered for sale by public auction, at the Land Office, Dunedin, on the above date, at noon.

Run No. 328, situated on the Waikaia River, contains 35,800 acres, of which are agricultural lands, about 3000 acres, and the rest is rough hilly country.
The rental will be an assessment of 7d per head on not less than 8500 sheep. The lease will commence on the 26th February, 1874, from which date to the 1st October ensuing the first assessment will be charged.

Run No. 359, situated at Nokomai, at the head of the Nevis, contains 15,000 acres, is composed principally of rough country.
The rental will be 7d per head on 3750 sheep. The lease will commence on the 3rd day of February, 1873.

Run No. 432, situated at the head of the Nevis River, at Nokomai, containing 950 acres rough pastoral country.
The lease will commence on the date of sale, and the rent will be an assessment of 7d per head on not less than 100 sheep, that being the minimum number the run is estimated to carry.

The sale will be in terms of the Otago Waste Land Act 1872. The upset premium in each case will be one halfpenny per acre of the estimated area of the run. A deposit of 1-10th part of the premium and of the first year’s rent will be payable on the fall of the hammer, and the balance of the premium within a month, except for Run 328, when the balance will be payable on the 20th February, 1874. The rent or assessment will be payable, after the first year, on the 1st day of October of each succeeding year. The runs will be leased for a period of ten years, terminable during that time, without compensation, by the lessor giving 12 months’ notice.


MONDAY, 10th February.

NOTICE is hereby given that sections 12 to 22, and sections 1 to 7, block IV, and sections 1 to 7, block V, Sutton District (situate at Strath-Taieri), averaging from 40 to 100 acres each, will be offered for sale by public auction, at the Land Office, Dunedin, as land of special value, at the upset price of £1 per acre, on Monday, the 10th day of February next, at noon.


THURSDAY, 22nd February, at noon.

NOTICE is hereby given that section 2 of 80, block II, Clarendon District, containing 45a 0r 24p, and sections 2 of 6 and 2 of 23, block VII, Hillend District, containing 40 acres each, will be open for sale by public auction, at the auction rooms of Mr. Capstick, Tokomairiro, on Thursday, the 22nd day of February next, at noon, at the upset price of 10s. per acre.


THURSDAY, 22nd February, noon.

On Thursday, the 22nd Feb. next, at noon, section 3 of 45, block IV, Dunedin and East Taieri District, containing 73a 3r 12p, will be offered at the Land Office, Dunedin, at the upset price of 10s. per acre.


WEDNESDAY, FEB. 26, 1873, at Noon.

RUNS FOR SALE.—Mr. Milner will offer for sale by public auction, at the Land Office, Dunedin, pastoral leases for 10 years of the following Runs:—

Run No. 338, situated on the Wanaka Lake, contains 100,000 acres, 90,000 acres of which are high sheep country, and about 10,000 acres of shingly and swampy country, suitable for cattle.
The rental will be an assessment of 7d per head on not less than 10,000 sheep, and 500 great cattle. The lease will commence on the 26th February, 1874, from which date to the 1st October ensuing the first assessment will be charged.

Run No. 339, situated on the east shore of Lake Hawea, north of Timaru river, contains 9000 acres, 500 of which are agricultural land.
The rental will be an assessment of 7d per head on 3000 sheep. The lease will commence on the 26th February, 1874, from which date to the 1st October ensuing the first assessment will be charged.

Run No. 444 is situated west of and adjoining Run 338, and Motatapu river; contains 6500 acres of high country.
The rental will be an assessment of 7d per head on 1000 sheep. Lease to commence on 3rd March, 1873, when an assessment from that date to the 1st October, 1873, will be payable.


EASIDE Road District.—Parties who have not paid their rates for the year 1872-3, are requested to take notice that I shall attend at the Brighton Post Office, from 2 to 6 p.m. on Friday the 7th February, 1873, to receive rates; and further notice is given, that immediate proceedings will be taken to recover rates in all cases of neglect or non-payment.
