CLUTHA COAL FIELD.
FRIDAY, 24th January, 1873.
TENDERS will be received at the Provincial Government Offices, Dunedin, until noon of Friday, 24th January, 1873, from parties willing to lease the Clutha Coal Fields and plant connected therewith, for the term of seven years. Tenders to state the amount of rent per annum, payable half-yearly in advance.
A list of the plant can be seen at the Office of the Secretary for Land and Works, Dunedin, and at the Police Station, Balclutha.
For further information apply at the Office of the Secretary for Land and Works, Dunedin.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Tuesday, 28th January, 1873, for
Contract No. 703—Construction of Timber Bridge over the Pomahaka Stream, on road Waipahi to Tapanui.
Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at Police Camp, Tapanui.
Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works tender for contract No. 703.”
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

Contract No. 705—Gravelling portions of the dray road between Lawrence and Blue Spur, 62 chains in length.
Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at Police Camp, Lawrence.
Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works tender for contract No. 705.”

Contract No. 699—Formation of portion of bridle track between Arrowtown and Maori point, commencing one chain east of Miller’s Creek and terminating at a point about 80 chains south of the saddle on the track from Arthur’s Point to Maori point.
Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the offices of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at Police Camp, Arrowtown.
Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works tender for Contract No. 699.”
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.
PAYMENT TO BE MADE IN LAND OR CASH AT THE OPTION OF THE GOVERNMENT.
FRESH TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Friday, 24th January, 1873, for
Contract No. 694—Formation of portions of road between Winton and Wrey’s bush, commencing about 40 chains north of Winton bush, on the north road, and terminating at the Aparima river, near Wrey’s bush.
Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at Police Camp, Winton.
Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works tender for contract No. 694.”
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.
PAYMENT IN LAND OR CASH AT OPTION OF THE GOVERNMENT.
TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Tuesday, 4th February, 1873, for
Contract No. 704—Formation of 28 chains of road situated on the banks of the Oreti river, ten miles from the Elbow, on the road to Te Anau and Mararoa.
Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the Office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at Police Camp, Winton.
Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works tender for contract No. 704.”
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

Contract No. 707—Pitching and gravelling 66 lineal chains of road, Tokomairiro to Tuapeka.
Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at Police Camp, Waitahuna.
Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works tender for Contract No. 706 or 707,” as the case may be.
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

CONDITIONAL TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Works, until 7th Feb., 1873, from persons desirous of constructing a bridge over the Clutha River at the Beaumont, in terms of conditions to be seen at the office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin, and at the Police Camp, Tuapeka, on and after the 16th instant.
TENDERS wanted by the Seaside District Road Board, for
Contract No. 1—Cutting and metalling certain portions of the Main District Road. Works to be shown on application to Mr. Thos. Howorth, chairman, Walton Park.
Contract No. 2—Cutting and metalling certain portions of Miller’s Hill; and wooden bridge to be erected over creek at Mr. Shand’s farm. Works to be shown on application to Mr. Hugh Graham, Boat Harbour.
Contract No. 3—Building stone culvert at Port Wine Bridge, Brighton; also, cutting and embankment. Allan Cameron will point out the work to intending contractors on the 15th inst., at noon.
Tenders to be lodged with the Chairman until noon of Wednesday, the 22nd inst.
The Board does not undertake to accept the lowest or any Tender.
