First.

The south-east by Lower Caversham Subdivision by part of section 42 block VII Town Survey District towards the south-west by section 13 Oagan Beach Survey District and towards the south by a line along the centre of Corstorphine road.

  1. South Ward comprising the remainder of the subdivision which is situate south of St Andrew’s Ward.

Second.

Wards in Middle Caversham Subdivision.

  1. High Ward comprising that part of the Middle Caversham Subdivision situate north of a line along the centre of the Main South Road.

  2. Low Ward comprising that part of the subdivision situate south of a line along the centre of the Main South Road and west of a line along the centre of the road line leading by Kensington to St Kilda.

  3. Kensington Ward comprising the remaining part of the subdivision east of Low Ward.


Third.

Wards in Lower Caversham Subdivision.

  1. First Ward comprising that part of the subdivision which is bounded towards the north by Middle Caversham Subdivision towards the east by the boundary of the Road District towards the south by a line along the centre of Seafield road and towards the west by Higher Caversham Subdivision.

  2. Second Ward which is bounded towards the north by First Ward towards the east by the boundary of the Road District towards the south by a line along the centre of Bay View road and towards the west by Higher Caversham Subdivision.

  3. St Kilda Ward comprising the remaining part of the Lower Caversham Subdivision bounded towards the north by Second Ward towards the east and south by the boundary of the Road District and towards the west by the Higher Caversham Subdivision.

And I do hereby assign the members of the Caversham District Road Board to the several subdivisions as follows that is to say:

To Higher Caversham Subdivision,

Robert Rutherford and

Ralph Pennell.

To William Bridgman

William Smith and

William Read.

To Middle Caversham Subdivision and

James M’Dow.

To Lower Caversham Subdivision,


Schedule.

PUBLIC NOTICE.

Under Section 1, Regulation IV.

WHEREAS I have received sufficient proof that the portion of the Otago Goldfield described in the Schedule hereto, is for the whole or the greater part of an inferior character as regards the value of its gold deposits: Now therefore hereby give notice that the same may be occupied by holders of Miners’ Rights in claims of the undernamed size, viz:-

One (1) Acre for each holder of a Miner’s Right, provided that no block claim shall comprise more than six (6) acres altogether.

Given under my hand at Naseby, this eleventh day of December, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

SCHEDULE.

All that portion of the Otago Gold Field, situate in Enterprise Gully, comprising two acres, more or less, bounded on the south by Lory’s registered water race 130 yards, on the west by old workings 145 yards, on the east by Crown Lands 145 yards, on the north by Creighton’s registered water race 200 yards.

It is hereby notified that the names of

Mr. George Morrison Barr, and

Mr. Fred. Henry Grisow,

have been placed on the list of authorised Surveyors for the Province of Otago.

ROADS.

NOTICE.—Whereas it is intended to stop up these Roads and portions of Roads which are severally described in the Schedule hereunder written and are delineated on the maps or plans mentioned and referred to in the “Roads Diversion Ordinance 1872,” Session XXX copies of which maps or plans so far as they relate to the particular roads or portions of roads intended to be stopped up in the Road District specified in the Schedule have been deposited at the Public School mentioned immediately after the description of the respective roads or portions of roads intended to be stopped up in such district: Now therefore I James Macandrew Esquire Superintendent of the Province of Otago by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in me in that behalf by the “Roads Diversion Ordinance 1872” Session No. XXX do hereby give notice that all persons objecting to the stopping up of such roads or portions of roads or any of them are required to set forth a statement in writing of any well-grounded objections they may have to the stopping up of such roads or portions of roads and to leave such statement addressed to me at my office in Dunedin within sixty days from the first publication hereof otherwise such objections will not be considered by me.

Plans to be seen at School Road District.

  1. Akatore Road District.
    Plans to be seen at School House, Akatore.

  2. Beaumefield Road District.
    Plans to be seen at School House Maerewhenua.

  3. Cheltenham Road District.
    Plans to be seen at the School House Otepopo.


PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

In conformity to the 29th Section of the “Gold Fields Act 1866,” and to the Regulations made under the Gold Fields Acts Amendment Acts of 1867, 1868 and 1869, for the granting of leases for gold mining purposes within the Province of Otago, is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease for gold mining purposes of Crown Lands to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against granting such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing and lodged with the Warden, at Queenstown, on or before the 16th day of January, 1873.
