The Government will not be bound to accept any Tender.
TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Tuesday, 31st December, 1872, for Contract No. 699—Formation of portion of bridle track between Arrowtown and Maori Point, commencing one chain east of Miller’s Creek and terminating at a point about 30 chains south of the saddle on the track from Arthur’s Point to Maori Point.
Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at Police Camp, Arrowtown.
Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works tender for contract No. 699.”
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

Contract No. 698—Construction and delivery of 21 railway goods waggons on the Bluff and Invercargill railway.
Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at the railway office, Invercargill.
Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works tender for contract No. 698.”
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Thursday, 9th January, 1873, for Contract No. 697.—Construction of Timber Bridge over the Mataura River, near Menzies Ferry.
Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at Pollock’s Accommodation House, Mataura Bridge, and after the 27th instant, at the Railway Office, Invercargill.
Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works tender for Contract No. 697.”
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.
PAYMENT TO BE MADE IN CASH OR LAND, At the option of the Government.
TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works, until noon of Friday, 27th December, 1872, for—Contract No. 573.—Gravelling 99 chains of Road, Camp Reserve to Duff’s Store, Waitahuna.
Plans and Specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the Office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at Police Camp, Waitahuna.
Tenders to be indorsed “Roads and Works Tender for Contract No. 573.”
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.
SEALED Tenders will be received by the Seaside District Road Board, until noon of Tuesday, 31st December, 1872, from persons wishing to lease the Walton Toll-bar for the year 1873; said Toll-bar was last let for £40 sterling per annum.
Tenders to be lodged with the Chairman, Mr Thomas Howorth, Walton park.—ALLAN CAMERON, Clerk.
