The householders, in the following mentioned localities respectively, in which Side Schools have been established or authorised, are advised to meet in the School-houses or buildings used as School-houses, of their respective districts on the aforesaid Monday, the 13th day of January, 1873, at 7 o’clock p.m., for the purpose of electing School Committees for the ensuing year, viz.:—Teviot, Moa Flat, Hamilton, Sowburn, St. Bathans, Waipori, Blue Spur, Wetherstones, Otokia, Popotunoa, Taieri Beach, Awamoka, Macraes, Hillend, Tapanui, Upper Harbour West, Lower Harbour, Whare Flat, Black’s, Te Houka, Waiwera, Merton, Waireka (Cave Valley), Mimihau (Mataura), Hyde, Wangaloa, Lower Shotover, Moeraki, Macetown, Glenore, South Akatore, South Bridge, Cardrona, Kakanui, Sawyer’s Bay, Highcliff, Tuapeka Mouth, Thompson’s, Tinkers (Drybread), Tuturau, Taieri Ferry, Greytown, Tuaikito, Albertown (Wanaka), Sandymount, Mount Cargill, Nokomai, Papakaio, Pukeuri, Kuri Bush, Adam’s Flat, Shag Valley, Clarke’s Flat, Upper Kyeburn, Lower Kyeburn, Inch Valley, Pueraknui, Mosgiel, Evan’s Flat, Dunkeld (Beaumont), Walton, Brinn’s Point, Manuka Creek, Forest Hill, Mabel Bush, Grove Bush, Groper’s Bush, Limestone Plains, Orepuki, Oreti, and Wild Bush.

Extract from Section XIV of the Education Ordinance, 1864.
On the second Monday in the month of January in each year, a public meeting of the owners and occupiers of land and householders in every Educational District, being male persons above twenty-one years of age, shall be held at a time and place to be fixed by the Secretary of the Board, and notified by public advertisement at least one month previously, and in such other manner as the Board shall direct, and at such meeting a Chairman shall be chosen and the School Committee for the preceding year shall give a full report of their proceedings, and thereupon the electors present shall proceed to elect, either by show of hands or by ballot, as shall be determined upon by the said meeting, a new School Committee for the ensuing year of not less than five nor more than nine persons possessing the qualifications prescribed by clause 13, and may re-elect all or any of the persons going out of office to be members of such new Committee, and every Committee so to be appointed shall hold office until the appointment of their successors.
EDUCATION RESERVES, SOUTHLAND.
APPLICATIONS will be received by Mr. John H. Baker, Survey Office, Invercargill, from persons wishing to lease any of the Reserves as formerly advertised.
Copies of the Otago Regulations, and conditions for the Leasing of Education Reserves can be obtained from Mr. Baker, Invercargill.
DEPASTURAGE IN HUNDREDS.
OWNERS or Occupiers of Land within Hundreds are informed that by the “Otago Waste Land Act 1872,” the Return of Acreage occupied, and Cattle desired to be Depastured, must be furnished to the Waste Land Board, and a Depasturing License taken out on or before the 1st December, 1872 (not the 1st January, as heretofore) in order to obtain the privilege of Depasturing Cattle on the Hundreds during the year 1873, and to give a right to vote at the election of Wardens.
The License Fee is 2s. 6d.
Forms and Licenses may be obtained from the Rangers and from this Office.

WASTE LAND BOARD ADVERTISEMENTS.
SMALL RUN FOR SALE, MONDAY, 2nd December, 1872.
OBJECTIONS having been lodged to granting a pastoral lease of Run 446 to the present applicant, notice is hereby given that the lease for ten years of the said Run situated near the source of Tautuku river, Waikawa, containing 2000 acres, will be offered for sale by auction at the Land Office, Dunedin, on the above date, at noon, in terms of the “Otago Waste Land Act 1866,” at the upset price of halfpenny per acre. Rental to be an assessment of three shillings and sixpence for every head of great cattle to be depastured on Run, but the minimum number not to be less than 80 great cattle. Lease to commence on 3rd December, 1872. The rental and a deposit of one-tenth of the purchase-money shall be payable on the fall of the hammer; the balance of the purchase-money within a month.

NOTICE is hereby given that section 33, block I, Clarendon district, containing 111a. 3r. 15p., Sections 10, 11, 19 and 2 of 24, block II, Clarendon district, containing respectively 162a. 3r. 15p., 140a. 3r. 15p., 38p. and 40a. Section 26, block III, Kaitangata, containing 119a. 2r. 15p., will be offered for sale by public auction at Mr Capstick’s auction rooms, Tokomairiro, on Friday, the 6th day of December next, at noon, at the upset price of 10s per acre.
Immediately after, sections 1, 2, and 3, block X, Waihola district, containing 55a. 1r. 24p., 52a. Or. 33p., 52a. 1r. 14p., will be offered for sale at the upset price of 10s per acre, subject to repayment of survey expenses, amounting to £4 7s on each section.

NOTICE is hereby given that block L, Dunedin, will be offered for sale by public auction at the Land Office, Dunedin, on Friday, the 20th December next, at the upset price of £300.
The Block contains one rood and eighteen poles, and is situated on High street, opposite the Railway Terminus.
