December, 1872, for—
Contract No. 696.— Formation and Gravelling of 88
chains of road at the “Fern Hills” on road, Winton,
to Benmore.
Plans and Specifications may be seen and forms of
tender obtained at the Office of the Engineer of Roads
and Works, Dunedin, and at Police Camp, Winton.
Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works Tender
for Contract No. 696.”
The Government does not undertake to accept the
lowest or any tender.

portion of road Southern Trunk to Molyneux, near the
Warepa Church.
Plans and Specifications may be seen, and forms of
tender obtained, at the office of the Engineer of Roads
and Works, Dunedin, and at Police Station, Balclutha.
Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works Tender
for Contract No. 689.”

ENGAGEMENT to commence on 1st April, 1873. Appli-
cations, with testimonials, to be sent not later than 20th
December, 1872, to James Stewart, Clerk, Naseby.
WANTED, a Teacher for the Lake Waipori Side
School. Salary: Government Subsidy and
School Fees, with excellent four-roomed house and
well-stocked garden. Applications, with testimonials,
to be lodged with the Chairman on or before 20th
December, 1872.
TEACHER Wanted, for the District School, Maun-
gatua. Salary, the government allowance of
£100, with school fees, subject to a reduction of £10.
Annual attendance about 70. Four-roomed house,
garden, and nine-acre paddock. Applications, with
testimonials, to be addressed to the undersigned on or

ENGINEERS.— Applications for the appointment of
Engineer of Roads and Works, also for the situa-
tion of District Engineer, will be received at the Office
of Secretary for Works, Provincial Buildings, Dunedin,
until noon of Friday, 22nd November, 1872.

Kuri Bush district road has been postponed

WASTE LAND BOARD ADVERTISEMENTS.

900 ACRES on Run 207N lying between Section 310,
Hokonui district and the Waimea Stream,
hitherto temporarily reserved, will be open for Applica-
tion on Friday, the 22nd day of November.

Island, for the Colonial Government.

COAL RATIONS, Invercargill.— Tenders will be
received at the Government Offices, Dunedin,
until noon of Tuesday, 10th December, 1872, for
supply of the above rations during 1873. Forms of
Tender may be obtained from the Gaoler. The Govern-
ment does not bind itself to accept any tender.
WANTED a Teacher for the Side School, Sawyer’s
Bay. Salary £75 per annum and School fees
and residence. Number of scholars about 50. Appli-
cations, with testimonials, to be lodged with the
undersigned on or before the 10th December next.—

WANTED, a competent Teacher, on the 1st Jan.
1873, for the New School, Pukeuri, distant
six miles from Oamaru; over 50 children supposed to
be able attend. Salary: Government Grant and School
Fees, and nearly five acres of glebe, on which a com-
fortable residence is about to be erected. Applications,
with testimonials, to be forwarded on or before 17th
December, and addressed to the Clerk, Pukeuri School
Committee, Oamaru. Further information, apply at

MASTER wanted for Mount Ida District School.
Salary: Government Subsidy, £100, and pro-
portion of School Fees, worth at least £100 more,
but will probably increase. Residence and garden.

SMALL RUN FOR SALE, MONDAY, 2nd
December, 1872.
OBJECTIONS having been lodged to granting a
pastoral lease of Run 446 to the present appli-
cant, notice is hereby given that the lease for ten years
of the said Run situated near the source of Tautuku
river, Waikawa, containing 2000 acres, will be offered
for sale by auction at the Land Office, Dunedin, on the
above date; at noon, in terms of the “Otago Waste
Land Act 1866,” at the upset price of halfpenny per
acre. Rental to be an assessment of three shillings
and sixpence for every head of great cattle to be depastured
on Run, but the minimum number not to be less than
80 great cattle. Lease to commence on 3rd December,
1872. The rental and a deposit of one-tenth of the
purchase-money shall be payable on the fall of the
hammer; the balance of the purchase-money within a
month.

THE undermentioned Town Sections will be sold by
auction at the Land Office, Invercargill, at noon,
on Friday the 6th day of December, proximo.
