NOTICE.

SECTION 23, block VI, New River Hundred, con-
taining 4 acres more or less, hitherto part of
reserve, Waianewa Bush, will be sold by auction at
the Land Office, Invercargill, at noon on Friday,
the 6th December next; upset price 40s per acre.

29th November, Friday noon, eight cows, one heifer,
two steers, and a bull calf, will be sold at Clyde Pound.

29th November, Friday noon, a steer will be sold at Otakia Pound.

29th November, Friday noon, a horse will be sold at Tokomairiro Pound.

29th November, Friday noon, a calf will be sold at Balclutha Pound.

29th November, Friday noon, a heifer will be sold at Hawksbury Pound.

29th November, Friday noon, eleven cows, seven heifers, eleven steers, four bullocks, and five calves will be sold at Papakaio Pound.

TENDERS

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works, until noon of Tuesday, 3rd December, 1872, for—

Contract No. 491—Gravelling 103 chains of road, Palmerston to Oamaru.

Contract No. 692—Forming, pitching and gravelling of 126 chains of road, Palmerston to Oamaru, commencing from east end of Contract 691, and extending towards Oamaru.

Contract No. 693—Forming and metalling 123 chains 30 links of road, Palmerston to Oamaru, commencing from the east end of Contract No. 692, and extending towards Oamaru.

Plans and Specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the Office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at Police Camp, Oamaru.

Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works tender for Contracts No. 691, 692, or 693, as the case may be.”

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Tuesday, 3rd December, 1872, for—

Contract No. 694—Formation of portions of road between Winton and Wrey’s Bush, commencing about 40 chains north of Winton Bush, on the north road, and terminating at the Aparima River, near Wrey’s Bush.

Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at Police Camp, Winton.

Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works tender for Contract No. 694.”

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

  • Cleaning Chimneys
  • Funerals
  • Mixed Firewood; must be cut at least six months.

Tenderer to state the kinds of wood he will mix, and about what quantities of each he will supply.

  • Kaitangata

  • English, Scotch and Newcastle, do
  • Ironmongery
  • Kerosene, Neatsfoot, and Colza Oil
  • Castor Oil
  • Plumber’s Material

  • Rations and Medical Comforts for Dunedin Gaol
  • Milk for Hospital and Lunatic Asylum, Dunedin
  • Do for Industrial School
  • Rations and Medical Comforts (exclusive of Bread) for Hospital, Lunatic Asylum, and, if required, Immigration Depot
  • Bread for Hospital and Lunatic Asylum, for 6 months. A deposit of £20 must be lodged with the tender, to be forfeited if tender is not taken up.
  • Bread for Industrial School, and, if required, for Immigration Depot
  • Rations—Meat for Hospital, Lunatic Asylum, and, if required, for Immigration Depot
  • Meat for Industrial School
  • Forage
  • Potatoes
  • Sawn Timber

The names of the Sureties must be lodged with the Tender, and it must be shown at the same time that the Sureties consent.

Schedules for Tendering may be had from the Government Storekeeper, after 23rd November, 1872.

Accounts to be rendered on the 25th of each month, and all items against a Department to be put into one account.

The Government will not be bound to accept any tender.

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Tuesday, 10th December, 1872, for—

Contract No. 695—Formation of 36 chains of road at Benmore, on Road, Winton, to Kingston, commencing at Morrison’s Accommodation House.

Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at Police Camp, Winton.

Tenders to be endorsed, “Roads and Works tender for Contract No. 695.”

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.
