Land and Manufacturing Notices




The cloth in each case to be produced by machinery
permanently established in the Province, and to be
manufactured either wholly or to a large extent from
Phormium Tenax, or other indigenous plants, or from
other material grown in the Province.

Offers will be received at the Provincial Government
Offices, Dunedin, until the 10th of October, 1872, and
should state the estimated cost and productive power
of the machinery proposed to be erected, the date on
which the same will be in operation, and that the parties
are prepared to be bound in the sum of £1000 to
produce sacks and woolpacks to the value of £1500
within three years from the date on which their offer is
accepted.

The Government does not bind itself to accept any
offer.

BONUS FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A

GLASS BOTTLE MANUFACTORY.

THE Provincial Government being desirous of
encouraging the manufacture of Glass Bottles in Otago,
is prepared to receive offers from parties willing to
embark in the enterprise, and is further prepared to pay
a bonus of £300, as under:

On the erection of building and plant, of a value
of not less than £500—£100.

On production of 100 gross of bottles—£100.

On production of a further quantity of 200
gross—£100.

Offers will be received at the Provincial Government
Offices, Dunedin, and should state the estimated cost
of the works proposed to be erected, the date on which
the same will be in operation, and that the parties are
prepared to be bound in the sum of £250 to produce
500 gross of Bottles within two years from the date on
which the tender is accepted.

The Government does not bind itself to accept any
offer.

EDUCATION RESERVES, SOUTHLAND.

The following Reserves will be leased by auction at
the Land Office, Invercargill, at noon on Tuesday,
the 12th of November next. Further particulars may be
obtained on application at the office of Mr. Baker,
Invercargill.

WASTE LAND BOARD ADVERTISEMENTS.

EDUCATION RESERVES, SOUTHLAND.

APPLICATIONS will be received by Mr. John H.
Baker, Survey Office, Invercargill, from persons
wishing to lease any of the Reserves as formerly adver-
tised.

Copies of the Otago Regulations, and conditions for
the Leasing of Education Reserves can be obtained
from Mr. Baker, Invercargill.

NOTICE.

Sections 320 and 321, hitherto tem-
porarily reserved on Run 207, Hokonui District,
will be open for application on and after the seventeenth
day of November.

NOTICE is hereby given, that section 13, block IV,
Akatore District, containing 80a. 1r. 4p., and
sections 11 and 18, block III, Akatore District,
containing respectively 80a. 1r. 10p., and 78a. 3r. 12p.,
will be offered for sale by public auction, at Mr. Cap-
stick’s Auction Rooms, Tokomairiro, on Monday the
28th day of October next, at noon, at the upset price
of 10s. per acre.

TUESDAY, 29th, at noon.

SECTIONS 13, block XV, Clutha District, containing
52a. 2r., will be offered by Auction, at the Crown
Hotel, Balclutha on Tuesday, the 29th day of October,
next, at noon, at the upset price of 10s. per acre.

MONDAY, 28th, at noon.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the lease for 10 years
of Run No. 445, situated on the Hawkdun
Mountains, north of Mount Ida, containing 15,000
acres, will be offered for sale by Public Auction, at the
Land Office, Dunedin, on Monday, the 28th day of
October next, at noon, in Terms of the “Otago Waste
Lands Act 1866,” at the upset price of half-penny per
acre rental to be assessment of 7d. per head on small
cattle to be depastured on Run, but the minimum
number not to be less than 1500 sheep; lease to com-
mence on 1st October, 1872—deposit of 1-10th part of the
price and rental payable on fall of hammer, the balance
as usual within a month.

Run No. 446, containing 1600 acres, situated in
Tautuku Bush, on Tautuku River, adjoining Run No.
161, will be leased, and subject to the usual conditions,
to the present applicant, unless objections to the same
are made to the Waste Lands Board, on or before the
26th day of December next.

Immediately after the sale of Run 445, section 90,
block 6, North Harbour and Blueskin District, contain-
ing 70a. 3r. 22p., will be offered by auction, at the
upset price of 10s. per acre.

MONDAY, 28th, at noon.

NOTICE is hereby given, that section 75, block IV,
Moeraki District, formerly part of Puketapu Bush
Reserve, containing 24a. 2r. 33p., will be offered for
sale by public auction, at the North Western Hotel,
Palmerston, on Monday, the 28th day of October
next, at noon, at the upset price of £1 1s. per acre,
and subject to repayment of survey expenses,
amounting to £7 7s.

Immediately after, section 23, block I, Waikouaiti
District, containing 78a. 2r. 25p., will be offered by
auction at the upset price of 10s. per acre.

WEDNESDAY, 6th November, noon.

SECTION 22, Block VI, New River Hundred, con-
taining Four Acres, more or less, hitherto forming
part of the Bush Reserve in the same Block, will be
sold by Auction, at the Land Office, Invercargill, at
noon on Wednesday, the 6th November; upset price,
£2 per acre.

FRIDAY, 6th December, at noon.

THE undermentioned Town Sections will be sold by
auction at the Land Office, Invercargill, at noon,
on Friday the 6th day of December, proximo.
