TENDERS
TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Tuesday, 29th October, 1872, for
Contract No. 677, 678, 679, 680 — Forming, pitching and gravelling portions of road, Waitahuna to Peg 1, near the Saddle, in length about three miles.
Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin; and at Police Camp, Waitahuna.
Tenders to be endorsed "Roads and Works Tender for Contract 677, 678, 679, 680," as the case may be.
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

Contract No. 682 — Forming, pitching and gravelling portions of road, Palmerston to Oamaru, situate between the Kakanui River and the Waireka stream, in length about 170 chains.
Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at Police Camp, Oamaru.
Tenders to be endorsed "Roads and Works Tender for Contract No. 682."
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

Contract No. 683 — Construction of portion of road, Main Line to Kuri Bush, situate near Mr. Kerby’s.
Contract No. 684 — Construction of portion of road, Main Line to Kuri Bush, situate in Block III, Otakia.
Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at Peter Maclaren’s store, Brighton.
Tenders to be endorsed "Roads and Works Tender for Contract No. 683" or "684," as the case may be.
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

Contract No. 685 — Supply of timber for repairs of Jetty at the mouth of the Taieri River.
Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at Toll-gate, East Taieri Bridge.
Tenders to be endorsed "Roads and Works Tender for Contract No. 685."
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

NOTICES
NORTH TAIERI Road Board. — Tenders wanted for Repairs to Bridge, at Mr Tinlay’s Corner.
Tenders to be lodged with the Chairman, Mr Hudson, not later than Saturday, 2nd November. Plans and specifications to be seen at Mr Couper’s house, Mosgiel.

WANTED immediately, up till the end of the present year, a qualified Teacher for Side School, Papakaio; salary — Government grant, being at the rate of £75 per annum, and School Fees. For further information, apply at the Education Office, or to G. A. Goodall, Post Office, Oamaru. Applications to be sent in not later than 22nd instant to G. A. Goodall, Post Office, Oamaru.
WAKARI District School, near Dunedin. — Applications will be received by the Wakari School Committee till Monday, the 18th November next, from persons qualified to fill the offices of Schoolmaster and Schoolmistress for said School. The Master’s salary will be the usual Government allowance of £100, and three-fifths of the School Fees; and the Schoolmistress’ salary the Government allowance of £60, and one-fifth of the School Fees. Attached to the School are a five-roomed dwelling-house, garden, and 10 acres of land fenced and laid down in English grass. This School — one of the oldest in the Province — has had an average attendance of 120 scholars for the last three years. A Schoolmistress who can teach music preferred. Applications, with testimonials, to be made to Mr. George Hepburn, Chairman, or to Mr Colin Allan, Secretary to School Committee.
EDUCATION RESERVES, SOUTHLAND. — The following Reserves will be leased by auction at the Land Office, Invercargill, at noon on Tuesday, the 12th of November next. Further particulars may be obtained on application at the office of Mr. Baker, Invercargill.

APPLICATIONS will be received by Mr. John H. Baker, Survey Office, Invercargill, from persons wishing to lease any of the Reserves as formerly advertised.
Copies of the Otago Regulations and conditions for the Leasing of Education Reserves can be obtained from Mr. Baker, Invercargill.
NOTICE to APPLICANT for UNSURVEYED LAND under "Otago Waste Lands Act 1866."
— The Section in the subjoined Schedule being now surveyed, the applicant is informed that the Waste Land Board will give its decision on his application.
EAST TAIERI Road Board. — Tenders required for Embanking north end of Taylor’s Creek Bridge.
Plans, &c., can be seen with the Chairman, Mr. Howorth, or Mr. Graham, Taylor’s Creek. The Board do not bind themselves to accept the lowest or any tender.
Tenders to be sent not later than the 21st day of October next, addressed to — Thomas Howorth, Chairman.
GREEN ISLAND Road Board. — Fresh Tenders are invited by above Board up till Monday, 21st current, for building of Stone and Iron Girder Bridge, over Kaikorai Stream, at Murray, Roberts Co.’s Works, Green Island.
Plans, specifications, &c., can be seen at house of undersigned. The Board do not bind themselves to accept the lowest or any tender.
