PALMERSTON Road Board.—Notice.—The following Subdivisions of the above Road Board, viz., Bushey Road District, Blue Mountain Road District, Goodwood Road District, intend making a special rate for the year ending March, 1873, in accordance with the Otago Roads Ordinance 1871. The proposed rate is deposited at the house of the Clerk, for inspection by the ratepayers, from this date, 4th Oct., 1872. — JOHN KEEN, Clerk to Board. Palmerston, 4th October, 1872.
M. R. F. BASSETT is hereby authorised to impound all cattle found straying upon the Public Roads, within the limits of the Matau Road District, under Section 79 of the "Otago Roads Ordinance, 1871." TAKE NOTICE that I desire the boundary or separating fence between your section and Sections 4 and 5, Block I., to be made immediately, and that such fence shall be a substantial wire fence, at least four feet in height, having not less than five wires, and top rail; posts two feet in the ground, and not more than eight feet asunder; and that, failing the erection of your half of the said fence, I shall cause the same to be erected at your cost and charges.

IMPOUNDED on the 2nd day of October, 1872, by John Gunn, Esq., Ardmore Station, one bay Filly, long tail, branded "J" conjoined off shoulder; supposed to belong to Mr. James Robbie, Clutha; for trespassing on Ardmore Station, for which three shillings and sixpence damages are claimed, and in default of being released, the above Filly will be sold at the Public Pound, at Tapanui, on Friday, the 25th day of October, 1872, at 12 o’clock noon. — A. IMPOUNDED on the 2nd day of October, 1872, by Mounted Constable Stresn, West Taieri, one white Bullock, blotch brand on near rump; three white Steers, no visible brand; four red Steers, no visible brand; two red and white Steers, no visible brand; one red Heifer, top of tail white, no visible brand; one red Heifer, no visible brand; two strawberry Steers, no visible brand; one strawberry Heifer, no visible brand; owner unknown; trespassing on North Taieri Public Road, for which two shillings per head is charged for driving expenses, and in default of being released, the above Cattle will be sold at the Public Pound, at West Taieri, on Friday, the 25th day of October, 1872, at twelve o’clock noon. — MICHAEL TYNAN, Poundkeeper of the West Taieri Pound.
IMPOUNDED on the 1st day of October, 1872, by James Robertson, one bay Colt, snipe on nose, no visible brand; owner unknown; for trespassing on grass paddock, for which no damage is claimed; and in default of being released, the above Colt will be sold at the Public Pound at Lawrence, on Friday, the 25th day of October, 1872, at twelve o’clock noon. — PETER ROBERTSON, Poundkeeper of the Lawrence Pound.
IMPOUNDED on 10th September, 1872, by Messrs.
